German Hip Hop - A History
kosmasp2 August 2019
Up to a certain time that is, because there has been a recent uprise and some would even say revival of Hip Hop. A very dark and sexual revival some might say. Then again as many have argued in this documentary, Hip Hop never really went away.

A lot of influential people talk about their rise and how they view others in the business and how they feel Hip Hop changed or influenced cultur. Most is self evident, some is very interesting and if you know some of the people speaking you will be more engaged than others. It's a bit of shame that one of the most influential groups did not really get covered (they are mentioned, but no interviews) - Massive Töne. Which brings us to another point, international appeal and collaboration. None of that to be found here.

So this could have been more in depth, could have had a lot more things that it could say - as it is, it is decent enough, but scratching the surface rather than getting a real look behind the ... scenes/curtain
