NASA astronauts Alan Bean and Miguel López-Alegría are technical advisors. Bean was the fourth man to walk on the moon with Apollo XII's voyage in November, 1969. Alegría was the first Spanish astronaut to travel outer space.
On the fake "found footage" of the first moon landing you can see that the director (the janitor) looks like Stanley Kubrick. The idea that Kubrick actually directed the 1969 landing was shown in the mockumentary Opération lune (2002).
Made in 3 languages: Castilian Spanish, Catalan and English.
Most of the cast of the Castilian Spanish dubbing was from Barcelona, so they reprise his roles in the Catalan dubbing, only a few actors were changed.
The film was originally animated to the English Voice Cast and dubbed into Spanish in post production.
The dubbed version called Atrapa La Bandera was premiered in Spain before its USA release.
