HBO Asia’s “Food Lore” and “Invisible Stories” – both directed by Singaporean directors, Eric Khoo and Ler Jiyuan, respectively – won three awards collectively at this year’s ContentAsia Awards.This year’s ContentAsia Awards, though held in Singapore on 28 August, was exclusively streamed online on their Facebook page.
Eric Khoo‘s “Food Lore” – an eight-episode omnibus exploring different local cuisines throughout Southeast and East Asia – walked home with the “Best Asian Drama for a Regional / International Market” category. Erik Matti, director of Philippines-themed episode “Island of Dreams,” took home the Best Director of a Scripted TV Programme Award.
Ler Jiyuan’s “Invisible Stories” – a mini-series of six, half-hour episodes – won the Best Drama Series/Telefilm Made for a Local Asian Market award. The drama tells of stories untold of everyday life and its hardships in Singapore.

Cartoon Network Asia Pacific has named four Australian-made animation projects that will feature in its regional programming line-up in 2016.
Flying Gherkin's non-verbal claymation comedy adventure Bill & Tony and Ludo Studio's Sketchy Show, a comedy that turns real kids' drawings into animated shorts with a cast of coloured-in characters surrounded by insanity, are short-form series commissioned by Cartoon Network.
Rubber House Studios' action/adventure/comedy Lasso & Comet, the tale of a 13-year-old boy with a magic rope and his best friend, a talking comet, has been accepted by Cartoon Network Studios. international shorts program and a short will soon go into production.
Cartoon Network Australia has greenlit a pilot for Monster Beach: The Series, a story about surfing, scary locals and two kids battling to save their new home, from Bogan Entertainment Solutions.
The telemovie by the same name won a 2015 Astra award and Keith Moore won an Apra award as composer of the soundtrack.

Jed Kurzel.s string-based score for Scottish director John Maclean.s Slow West won the feature film prize at the 13th Screen Music Awards.
It was the composer's second win in the category; his first was for brother Justin Kurzel.s Snowtown in 2011. Jed also scored Justin's Macbeth and Jennifer Kent.s The Babadook.
