Kevin McHale has admitted that the Glee cast missed out on opportunities outside the show because of its hectic schedule.
The actor - who hosts E4's panel show Virtually Famous - told Digital Spy that casting directors began to realise that there was no chance of hiring any of the cast.
Speaking about the end of Glee, McHale said: "I would love to do more television. But we'll see. This will be the first time I've had any free time in the past six years, so it's terrifying and exciting all at the same time. I got to do a film last year and I really enjoyed doing that.
"It was a weird thing too because our schedules were so tough that people knew they couldn't hire us for six years. When a show becomes successful people want to hire the people on the show for other things, and...

Virtually Famous is back! Yep, the E4 panel show about all things online - hosted by Glee star Kevin McHale - is here for another series of naughtiness and funny moments (and team captains Chris Stark and Seann Walsh, too).
To celebrate, we caught up with Kevin to chat about picking on Chris, his love of Stacey Solomon, and zit-popping fetishes...
So, are you still picking on Chris in the new series?
"It's just gotten worse! I really feel bad. It was just one of those things where last series he was just so nice and so sweet about everything and literally asked to get punched in the stomach by a boxing champion. And so I just think, not just with Chris but with the entire series, they're trying to just freak everyone out more than they did last year. So poor Chris – I can see in his eyes he's like,...

Virtually Famous has been recommissioned for two more series.
Glee star Kevin McHale will return to host the panel show, which has been renewed by E4 for two sets of 10 episodes.
Team captains Seann Walsh and Chris Stark will also be returning.
Executive producer Dan Baldwin said: "We're delighted that Virtually Famous has been recommissioned for two more series. It has been fantastic to see Kevin McHale, Seann Walsh and Chris Stark gel together so well on-screen.
"I hope Chris Stark survives these new shows. Last series he was punched by David Haye, had his face sellotaped up by Pixie Lott and was dressed as a woman and put on a dating website. I wish Chris the best of luck for series two and three."
Virtually Famous puts two celebrity teams up against each other as they battle for points over viral online videos and memes.
