Kiss and Tell
clayface98 June 2020
The first match is Steve Austin versus Marc Mero. We see footage of Ahmed Johnson winning a tournament in Kuwait. We see footage of the Ultimate Warrior signing his terrible comic book. Savio Vega takes on the 1-2-3 Kid. We see footage from Madison Square Garden of the Godwinns winning the Tag Team Championship from the Bodydonnas. Jim Ross interviews Paul Bearer and the Undertaker, until Mankind shows up. The main event is Davey Boy Smith versus Jake Roberts.; the show goes off the air before the match ends. An okay episode.

Two decent matches!

Live from Sioux City, IA

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin (W/Ted Dibiase) Vs "Wildman" Marc Mero (W/Sable)

Austin wins by DQ after Vega nails Austin with the strap. This isn't as good as their match from the 96 King of The Ring, but it's well above average. The booking made sense because neither man could afford to lose clean at this juncture.

**3/4

Savio Vega Vs The 1-2-3 Kid (W/Ted Dibiase)

Savio pins Vega with a weird-looking pinning combination. Stone Cold and The 1-2-3 Kid assault Vega after the match and humiliate him with the strap. Ted Dibiase places a chauffeur's hat on Vega to add insult to injury. This is another match on this show that was above average. Both had good chemistry and delivered some exciting high- flying offense.

**1/2

Jim Ross talks to Paul Bearer for a bit until The Undertaker pops out of a casket. The Undertaker is interrupted by Mankind and Goldust. Mankind ties up the casket so The Undertaker can't escape. He pushes the casket on the concrete and starts hitting the casket with a big stick.

Thoughts: Mick Foley was booked pretty strong for a few months in his feud with Undertaker. This isn't on par with Kane burning the casket on fire, but it was still a good segment.

Jim Cornette says The British Bulldog has a restraining order on Shawn Michaels. Shawn can't go within a 100 yards of Diana Smith. Gorilla Monsoon comes down and peruses the documents. He complies with the restraining order, but orders Diana Smith to leave the ring. Shawn Michaels comes out for commentary.

The British Bulldog (W/Jim Cornette) Vs Jake "The Snake" Roberts

We don't exactly get an official result. Diana Smith comes down and ignores the restraining order by accosting Shawn at the announcer's table. She throws water in Shawn's face, which leads to The Bulldog attacking Shawn as Raw goes off the air. This match was dominated by Shawn and Jerry Lawler arguing. The match was completely secondary. It didn't really matter because the match wasn't that good to begin with.

*1/4

I'll give this a 6/10 overall.
