The screenplay for "The Price of Beauty" is loosely inspired by the poem, "Ollie McGee" from The Spoon River Anthology.
"The Price of Beauty"'s screenplay was an assignment for a screenwriting class taught by James Franco and Vince Jolivette.
A majority of "The Price of Beauty" is shot in Moneta, Virginia, across the street from where Bill Murray steps off the bus and shouts for Dr. Leo Marvin in the movie, "What About Bob?" (1991)
The AZNAWUT license plate prop was also seen on the back of a red Cadillac Deville in "Finding Faith" (2013). The plate was once a personalized tag of director Kaylyn Aznavorian, but has since been retired.
The original name of Evangeline McGee's character was Cassandra McGee, inspired by the name of the character Cassandra in "Wayne's World" (1992).
