[[tmz:video id="0_c6rgmy7z"]] Daniel Cormier has been reinstated as the Ufc's Light Heavyweight Champion after his loss to Jon Jones at Ufc 214 was officially changed to a "no contest" in the wake of Jj's positive steroid test. TMZ Sports broke the story ... Jones was flagged for Turinabol -- a banned anabolic steroid. The results from Jones' B sample were made public Tuesday -- confirming the bad news for Jones. As a result, the California State Athletic Commission...

Daniel Cormier just rejected Jon Jones' friend request -- but the good news ... it sounds like they don't hate each other as much as they used to. Remember, the animosity between the two was legendary -- they trashed each other for years in public and in private and called each other every bad name in the book. But after Jones defeated Cormier at Ufc 214 in July, Jj offered the olive branch -- and...

Mma legend Gina Carano is firing back at Daniel Cormier after D.C. went on TV and blasted her for giving career advice to Ronda Rousey ... saying the Ufc star should be "ashamed." It all started when Carano -- an Mma superstar who quit fighting to become a movie actress -- was asked about Ronda's career during an interview to Fight Hub TV. "I think Ronda should do whatever she wants to do. She’s...

Cm Punk is no doubt used to his Ufc “career” being questioned by this point. A full one year has passed since the promotion signed him, yet despite plenty of talk from the promotion about Punk fighting in 2015, with multiple dates floated, his debut never took place – leading some fans to suggest that he would never fight in the octagon.
An injury to Punk during training didn’t help matters, and gave more fuel to the doubters, however the promotion has been steadfast that Cm Punk will fight.
Now, however, a current Ufc champion and former mutliple-weight class title contender have begun to question Punk’s appearance in the promotion. Or lack of appearance(s), more accurately. On the final Ufc Tonight of 2015, light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier, and former title challenger and Ultimate Fighter runner-up Kenny Florian addressed the Punk situation. And according to Cormier,...

Jon Jones has spoken out against a Ufc promo video that features a clip of him recorded earlier this year threatening to kill opponent Daniel Cormier. The clip was caught by a hot mic when the two fighters, who had been appearing on Espn, thought they were off-air, and off the record. What happened was yet another boneheaded move in a series of bad moves by Jon Jones (including instigating a physical confrontation with Cormier at a media event, and exposing his manhood on the internet), and it quickly made the rounds in the press.
The fight, however, then scheduled for September in Las Vegas, was moved to January as a result of an injury, and now headlines the Ufc 182 card on the third day of 2015. In advance of that, the Ufc has featured the soundbyte (which you can hear below in its original form) in promotional spots,...

Chael Sonnen, former Ufc title challenger, former Ufc Tonight host, recent Metamoris competitor, and current Espn personality, had a lot to say to Mma Mania on the topic of Cm Punk’s signing with the Ufc – and as usual, with Sonnen, it’s very, very insightful. Even more so in this case because Sonnen is a friend of Punk’s (Punk was once tapped to accompany Sonnen to the octagon, until Vince McMahon vetoed the idea), and because he had the hype machine turned off.
Yes, Sonnen broke kayfabe, so to speak (not that he’s an actual pro wrestler), turning off his “character” and speaking frankly about the Punk singing. The full piece is linked above, but some key comments include who Punk might face – and while Sonnen claims he has a good idea, he’s keeping it quiet for now. He did, however, challenge the idea put forward...
