When Finn Polmar learns that 2 kgs of heroin went missing when Cary was an ASA he seeks the court's permission to introduce that as evidence. Cary has no idea how the drugs went missing and had in fact been trying to speed up the lab tests as requested by Peter Florrick, the State's Attorney at the time. When Diane tries to draw the Governor into the case a new lawyer in his office, Ramona Lytton, comes up with a way to keep him out of it. Kalinda gets hold of important information but it doesn't end well. Eli's fears that something may be up in the campaign after he sees another professional politico at a television studio where the Governor is being interviewed. Turns out there's a third candidate looking to run for State's Attorney - Frank Prady, a popular political commentator on local television. Eli wants Alicia to test the waters and seek Prady's endorsement but she'll have to be a guest on his interview show first. The interview doesn't go well.
