Haley Lu Richardson has a number of popular works under her belt. The 28-year-old star launched her acting career in the early 2010s, landing one of her first roles in the Disney Channel sitcom "Shake It Up," alongside Zendaya and Bella Thorne. The exposure from "Shake It Up" helped open the doors for Richardson to take on other film and TV projects throughout the mid-2010s, including the films "The Edge of Seventeen" and M. Night Shyamalan's "Split," as well as shows like "Ravenswood" and "Recovery Road." Most notably, Richardson starred as Portia in season two of HBO's acclaimed series "The White Lotus." She also portrayed Hadley Sullivan in the Netflix rom-com "Love at First Sight," which hit the streamer on Sept. 15.
When she isn't working, Richardson keeps her personal life out of the spotlight. The actor has only publicly dated one person: former "Jane the Virgin" star Brett Dier.

HBO has narrowed down the premiere date of The White Lotus Season 2.
According to Variety, the premium cabler will allow viewers to check back into the show's satire-filled world in October.
Variety first revealed the news, but we don't have a confirmed date in October.
If we had to guess, we'd say it will arrive later in the month, after House of the Dragon wraps its freshman season.
The new series will be set in Sicily, with Jennifer Coolidge returning in her widely praised Tayna role.
She was the heart of the freshman season, which told a compelling murder mystery.
Jon Gries, who played Greg, a guest who fell for Tanya in the first season, will also be back.
Theo James and Meaghan Fahy are set to play married couple Cameron and Daphne Babcock.

Original Easy A screenwriter Bert Royal is attached to write and direct a spinoff for Sony’s Screen Gems, Deadline has confirmed. The new teen comedy, which will mark the directorial debut for Royal, will be set at the same high school and exploring many of the same themes as the 2010 version. The Will Gluck-directed original was a career launcher for star Emma Stone and a huge success, both critically and financially, for the studio, taking in over $75M worldwide. Screen Gems is developing a spinoff film to “Easy A,” the 2010 comedy that helped launch Emma Stone to leading lady stardom. The studio has tapped Bert Royal, the original screenwriter on the film, to write and direct the currently untitled spinoff, an individual with knowledge told TheWrap.
Royal, who is a writer and executive producer on the Freeform series “Recovery Road,” will make his directorial debut on the film. Zanne Devine is also returning to produce the spinoff movie.
“Easy A” was an updated, teen comedy take on “The Scarlet Letter,” in which a clean-cut student gets ahead in her social standing by making up a rumor and proudly flaunting the idea that she’s sexually promiscuous, despite that being a lie. The new film will be set at the same high school and will explore many of the similar themes as the original.

After “Easy A” became a breakout hit, the studio opted to task him with directing duties as well. The spinoff will mark Royal’s directorial debut. Zanne Devine is returning to executive produce.
Will Gluck directed 2010’s “Easy A,” a teen comedy about a clean-cut high school student who relies on the school’s rumor mill to advance her social standing. It became a surprise hit, earning $75 million worldwide, while also solidifying its star Emma Stone on the A-list for leading ladies in Hollywood.

Say what you want about MTV’s television reboot of the Scream franchise, but it made for one hell of a ride, often getting darker and more disturbing than the Wes Craven films ever did. But even after turning in an incredible second season, declining ratings became impossible to overlook, though we could at least find some consolation in the fact that it’d been renewed for a third season to consist of six episodes. Needless to say, that’d provide ample time to wrap up some notably huge dangling threads.
Or so we thought.
In a bizarre turn of events, the network opted to completely scrap two years’ worth of storytelling, handily pissing off the entire fan base. As it so happens, they’re moving forward with a re-reboot helmed by new showrunners that also features an entirely new cast, which boasts Keke Palmer (Scream Queens), Rj Cyler (I...

Camp Stillwater is closed for good.
Freeform decided not to renew the horror drama for a second season.
While the Us is watching horror unfold on election night, ABC is doling out bad news.
First we received word that Conviction is a goner. While they'll produce all 13 episodes, that will be the end of that.
Now we learn our fun in the 80s was one and done.
Really, though, it's not a surprise. Not only were the ratings abysmal this past summer (dead was a great title), but there was a conclusion. That's a lot better than we get from a lot of shows.
If there had been a second season, it would have likely gone back to the 70s and checked in with Elizabeth Mitchell's character as a teen, so a whole new cast, etc.
And I really believe had the demand for a second season been there,...
