As this is the first Marvel Cinematic Universe film released after Stan Lee's death, the Marvel Studios logo features images and clips of Lee's cameos and comes with a message: "THANK YOU STAN".
SPOILER: There is a scene in the closing credits: Captain Marvel meets up with the Avengers, responding to the pager Nick Fury activated in Avengers: Infinity War (2018). This leads into Avengers: Endgame (2019).
There is a scene at the end of the closing credits: Goose the cat regurgitates the Tesseract.
After the end-credits scene, there is a statement in the closing credits: "Captain Marvel will return in Avengers: Endgame (2019)".
Much like Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018), the title doesn't appear on screen until the end.
Dedicated to 'Stephen "Cajun" Del Bagno, Thunderbird 4', an Air Force pilot who consulted on the movie and passed away during production.
Aside from the Marvel Studios logo, there are no opening credits of any kind.
