Thomas Braerton and Wim Geudens crafted a slick and sick little short with this one!

"De Smet" is a sick and twisted little film...and I like that! It's a very entertaining story about three incredibly boring and orderly brothers. They do just about everything together, live next door to each other in identical houses and have the same sorts of car. While their day to day routines would bore most to death, they are comfortable this way...until a new female neighbor moves in next door. Soon, one of the brothers De Smet is forgetting his routine and is off chasing this lady. However, the other cannot let a woman come between them...and they've got a plan!

There really is nothing to criticize about this one. It's exquisitely crafted, very well directed and also very funny and clever. I sure would love to see more from these folks and it's well worth seeing if you get the chance.

Nice atmosphere, good acting, sweet-bitter moral. A film about brothers and family and a gray life being the cercle of a form of happiness. Lovely and seductive. În large measure, because it represents more than a simple comedy but a precise portrait of many existences, anonimous but full of a form of rich and correct stability. So, just lovely.
