The Manny, Netflix's latest comedy series, features actor Iván Amozurrutia as Gabriel, the series' titular cowboy-turned-babysitter.
The series, which has been climbing the streaming charts since its December 24 debut, follows the romance between Sandra Echeverría's Jimena, a high-ranking business executive and single mother of three, and Iván Amozurrutia's Gabriel, a rancher who happens to be great with kids.
While Iván Amozurrutia may be gaining attention for his role as The Manny's cowboy caretaker, this Netflix series is far from the actor's first rodeo.

The Netflix Mexican Originals are some of the most absurd content out there for viewers. A lot of them involve families and will either be comedies or serious thrillers, including plenty of sleazy scenes just for the sake of it. Most of the shows have an interesting premise but are made unnecessarily convoluted just for the sake of drama. Something similar could be said about The Manny, the brand-new Netflix Mexican Original show. The Manny, released on the platform on December 24, 2023, was created by Carolina Rivera, and it is about a male nanny hired by a rich heiress to take care of her children.
The show has ten episodes, with each having a run time of 30 to 35 minutes. The Manny is about Jemina, who is set to inherit her father’s finance company and is on the verge of getting a divorce. On the verge of becoming a single mother...

It’s a good month for movies on Netflix in December, as The Super Mario Bros. Movie lands on the streamer for those Nintendo fans who have either been waiting to check it out, or who can’t wait to watch it again.
Netflix’s critically acclaimed new film May December also debuts this month. Directed by Todd Haynes (Dark Waters) and starring Julianne Moore and Natalie Portman, the film focuses on a couple whose relationship once hit the tabloids due to their large age gap. When an actress comes to their home in a bid to research their story for a role, things quickly spiral. Expect the best kind of drama from this one!
Also coming to Netflix in December is the highly anticipated epic biopic Maestro, which chronicles the lifelong relationship between legendary composer Leonard Bernstein (Bradley Cooper) and Felicia Montealegre Cohn Bernstein (Carey Mulligan). Cooper directed and co-wrote the film,...

Forget The Masked Singer, the biggest mystery on TV right now is the identity of Kevin's baby's mother on This Is Us. For weeks, fans have been speculating it might be Zoe, Madison, or perhaps even Sophie. But now, some people are starting to think Cassidy is the mother of Kevin's child, because there have been a few clues that point to a strong relationship between the two. Of course, with the speed things change on the show, anything is possible, but that doesn't mean we can't rule out the possibility. Here are three reasons she might be the mystery woman we've been searching for.
Kevin and Cassidy have undeniable chemistry. In episode three of season four, titled "Unhinged," Cassidy and Kevin share a tense moment when she finds him outside of her therapist's office bonding with her 9-year-old son. That tension seems to turn into chemistry later on when...

Kate and Toby argued after their attempt to take baby Jack to a music class ended in disaster, while Randall and Beth learned that Malik has a baby of his own and Kevin and Cassidy bonded.
Our TV Fanatics Christine Orlando, Lauren Busser, Jack Ori, and Mariha Morales discuss whether Randall will ease up on Deja and Malik's relationship, whether Kate and Toby are going to make it, and what was our favorite storyline from This Is Us Season 4 Episode 4.
Carol told Randall that she was wrong to think he was not right for Beth. How do you think that will impact his decisions about Deja/Malik going forward?
Lauren: I really liked this moment between Carol and Randall. It showed a progression in their relationship, and I think that this revelation and the perspective will get Randall to see Malik in a different light.

Randall finally met Malik, and it went just about as well as predicted.
On This Is Us Season 4 Episode 4, everybody was struggling to start the next chapter in their lives, but Randall and Beth would love to slam the book closed on Malik and Deja's potential new chapter.
It was only the first conversation, and there's sure to be more to come. This should be fun.
There were some not-too-subtle parallels between Randall's reaction to Malik and Carol's reaction the first time she met Randall.
Carol told Beth that Randall was too broken for a girl like her and the last thing she needed, while Randall and Beth were anxious and embarrassed about the possibility of their mothers spending time together.

Remember when quitting The Manny was Kevin Pearson’s biggest problem? Good times.
Fresh off a relapse of his alcoholism and an achingly adult breakup, This Is Us‘ Kevin ended Season 3 by heading out to California to nurse his broken heart. Series star Justin Hartley says that before the episodes began to unspool, even he wasn’t aware of how much Kevin was banking on eventually having a family of his own.

It’s nice to see Idris Elba smiling, isn’t it? After years of brooding as haunted detective John Luther on the BBC America cop drama Luther, the reigning Sexiest Man Alive is lightening things up with a comedy. Elba is easily the best thing about his new Netflix series Turn Up Charlie — debuting Friday, March 15 on the streamer; I’ve seen the first three episodes — a thoroughly mild, easily digestible sitcom that unfortunately dips into Disney Channel levels of saccharine too often to merit a recommendation. It’s a hard show to hate, but without Elba to anchor it,...

Randall Pearson’s City Council campaign gets a much-needed boost from an unlikely source in this week’s This Is Us. In related news:
Who knew that The Manny — or rather, The Baby Man — was such a hit in South Korea? And who would have ever guessed that, of all the Pearson triplets, Kevin would be the one who knows how to say “thank you” in Korean?
Confused? Don’t worry, I’ll explain. We’ll also explore how Beth makes a career decision that we’re...

Oh, Kevin we hardly saw you.
At least that's what it felt like on This Is Us Season 3 Episode 2. "A Philadelphia Story" was advertised as Kevin's big movie premiere, so it would be understandable if one were to think he would be a major focus of the episode.
Instead, he was regulated to a spot in the sideshow. His storyline was once again overshadowed by Kate and Randall's drama and that makes me a little bitter.
Kevin has grown so much over the last two seasons and his family should be focused on making sure his big day is all about him. Yet, once again Kate, Randall, and Rebecca are too involved in their own lives to really support Kevin.
No wonder this guy needed therapy.
Fortunately, Kevin is used to being treated as an afterthought and was incredibly mature throughout the entire episode. After years of being The Manny...

This Is Us has only been around for two seasons, but we’re so invested in NBC’s tearjerker drama, we already consider ourselves honorary Pearsons.
And, like any loving family member, we expect to be around for the big moments in the life (and death) of Jack Pearson and his brood.
The series’ Powers That Be already have announced that they’ll expand the storytelling this season, including episodes that will focus on Susan Kelechi Watson’s Beth and Chris Sullivan’s Toby; cast member Jon Huertas recently told TVLine that a Miguel-centric hour is in the works, as well.

Will Justin Hartley earn an Emmy nomination for his heartbreaking work on “This is Us”? He plays Kevin Pearson, who in season one wanted to be respected as a serious actor and not just the star of his shallow sitcom “The Manny.” But during the show’s second season his storyline dealt with his descent into alcohol and drug addiction and should finally earn him some individual awards recognition after the entire rest of his on-screen family have been singled out for their performances.
Hartley’s best showcase of the season was the November 14 episode “Number One.” After being injured on the set of his upcoming movie Kevin wallows in self-pity. This is intercut with flashbacks detailing how his football career ended when he was injured as a teenager. Back in the present he returns to his high school to receive an award, trying and failing to pretend that everything is okay,...
