Exclusive: Producer and publisher The Nacelle Company has acquired the 1980s hit property Robo Force from toy company Toyfinity and said it’s commissioned a script and plans to start producing toys, books and branded merchandise in late 2021 and premiere a TV series in mid-2022.
In 1984, CBS released an animated show based on the toy line and companies from Buena Vista Records (Disney) to Random House, Topps and Hallmark partnered with the network then to support one of the biggest launches in toy business history. Robo Force technology included patented suction cup bases, tubular arms “for crushing action” and a variety of detachable guns and moving parts, Burbank-based Nacelle reminds us, CBS plastered the logo widely from lunchboxes to bedsheets. The Topps collector card company partnered with Robo Force to release a series of trading cards.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch Episode 7
The found family is strong with this one. And all it took was bringing in an outsider.
After a brief, exciting introduction, “Battle Scars,” written by Jennifer Corbett and directed by Saul Ruiz, gets right to the point. The Bad Batch still have their inhibitor chips, and the clock on Wrecker’s is ticking. Whenever he gets stressed out — including by the thought of the chip itself — he gets closer to going Order 66 on his “traitor” friends. Luckily, the Batch have a guide to how to remove the chips: Captain Rex. He helps them find a decommissioned Republic cruiser with the kind of medical facility they need, but not before Wrecker’s chip goes off.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch Episode 6
As a story about what purpose-built soldiers do after the war, The Bad Batch has been as aimless as its protagonists so far. But an entertaining episode that finds them still deep in the underworld, “Decommissioned,” written by Amanda Rose Muñoz and directed by Nathaniel Villanueva, brings back some minor The Clone Wars characters and deepens the Batch’s scant characterization. It also goes into the fate of the battle droids from the other side, showing how the Empire erases the evidence of the prior war by melting it down to scrap.
The Trandoshan operator Cid has a new job for the Batch: go to a factory on Corellia and retrieve a Separatist tactical droid destined for the furnace. It’s not going to be easy, since there are a lot of police droids on the scene.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 7 Episode 4
Some Star Wars: The Clone Wars stories reflect on the clones as conscripted soldiers from birth. Usually, this comes in the form of world-building, like a clone-only bar. Sometimes parallels are drawn between the clones and Anakin, who went from slave to Jedi with no freedom in between.
“Unfinished Business” does not opt for even subtle critique of the clones’ situation, instead telling a high-energy war story. And that’s okay! I’ll forgive The Clone Wars for dropped emotional through-lines. Seven seasons in, those through-lines are clearly not what the show is about. The core characters in this arc still work.
As the Republic launches a two-pronged assault against a Separatist assembly plant, clone trooper Echo’s loyalty is called into question after being hooked up to an enemy computer for months. The...

*an online screener of this film was provided by XLRator Media. Director: Micheal Bafaro. Writers: Micheal Bafaro and Evan Tylor. Cast: Anna Hutchison and Andrea Whitburn. You can prepare for a lot of car metaphors as Micheal Bafaro's (The Devil's Ground) Wrecker crashes into this review. Full of wheel spinning, Wrecker's plot moves ahead as if in rush hour traffic. This two note script does little to inject any life into the screen. Meanwhile, the film's reality is broken up with the introduction of several faux conflicts. Amoral characters Emily (Anna Hutchison) and Leslie (Andrea Whitburn) cannot outpace an old tow truck, despite driving a modern sports car. Scenes are sped up to create tension. But, Wrecker still offers a lackluster time, in which the viewer's patience is tested and broken; there is not even a single car crash to gawk at, despite the film's title. Emily is the protagonist in the film.

Hey creeps, today’s lil interview is with the die-rector of the new horror on the highway flick Wrecker, Micheal Bafaro! So why not buckle up and join us as we speed along at 666mph in the ol’ Horror Hearse!
Famous Monsters. What inspired you to barrel headlong into Wrecker?
Micheal Bafaro. I’ve had a lifelong love of the open road. I think it’s symbolic of the freedom and adventure that America is suppose to offer, and it’s something that connects with youth across generations. At first you’re surrounded by familiar sights, but as time passes and you get further down the road, you start to find that the familiar is gone and you’re left feeling alone and isolated. I originally got the idea for Wrecker while on a road trip doing research for a different film. I stopped off at a gas station and...

Coming to theaters, VOD, and iTunes tomorrow with the gas pedal to the floor and one eye on the rearview mirror is Wrecker, a new road trip horror film from XLrator Media. For our latest Q&A feature, we caught up with Wrecker co-writer/director Micheal Bafaro.
Thanks for taking the time to converse with us, Micheal. How did you come up with the idea for your latest film, Wrecker?
Micheal Bafaro: I’ve always been inspired by the open road. For me, it’s the ultimate embodiment of freedom, adventure, and optimism. However, it can also be unpredictable as one moves away from familiar surroundings into the unknown. I’ve got an active imagination and I’m always having story ideas pop into my head. Highways themselves are an iconic part of the North American landscape and culture, and I felt that it was time to do a road film of my own.

TwitchFilm has an exclusive clip to share with you. In it, best friends Emily and Lesley are talking about Emily's cheating boyfriend. He's a cheating sleazebag but Emily thinks that maybe there is still some hope for their relationship. Lesley of course thinks otherwise. Then Lesley yells out for Emily to stop the car. For what, we will not find out until we watch the rest of the movie. Probably some kind of roadkill of a cute fluffy animal which serves as an omen of bad things to come. Tagline: "One road trip, two friends, one wrong turn." Wrecker is a roadside thriller, from Industry Works Pictures. The film involves two friends and an anonymous truck driver. Together, they vie for an isolated roadway. One part Steven Spielberg's Duel (1971), the film stars Anna Hutchison and Andrea Whitburn. This film will be taken to Cannes, beginning May 13th. And, the film's first trailer is hosted here. The clip shows more of the film's story. Emily (Hutchison) and Lesley (Whitburn) are forced off the road, by a rogue tow truck driver. They try to escape, but help is nowhere to be found. The setting is supposed to be an American state. However, the shooting location is easily recognizable as British Columbia, this horror fan's home province. The interior, of B.C., is full of long highways and isolated dirt roads, some of which can be seen in the trailer, below.
