Exclusive: Batwoman and The Meg star Ruby Rose is attached to star in action-thriller Doorman for director Ryuhei Kitamura (Midnight Meat Train).
Doorman, which is slated to shoot in April 2019, tells the story of an officer in the Marines who becomes traumatized while serving her country and returns home looking for an opportunity to heal. She seeks refuge as a doorman at a labyrinthine, historic, New York apartment building but discovers that mercenaries are intent on destroying everything in their way to retrieve precious art hidden in the building walls.
Rose’s star is high following her lead casting in CW’s Batwoman, and turns in box office hits The Meg, John Wick: Chapter 2, xXx: Return of Xander Cage.

Double Dutch International (Ddi) chief Jason Moring announced at Afm on Saturday he has sold out the world on The Adventure Club with Us rights going to Gravitas Ventures.
The distributor has also picked up select territories excluding the Middle East (Gulf Films), pan-Asia (Fox), Poland (East West), Turkey (Tanweer) and South Africa (M Net).
Billy Zane and Kim Coates star in the tale of three children who discover a coveted ancient box. Geoff Anderson directs and Trilight Entertainment’s Shayne Putzlocher produces alongside Glenn Paradis, Sara Shaak and Montague Entertainment’s Mark Montague.
“We are proud to fulfil our mission for The Adventure Club and happy that it has found a great home with all of our partners,” said Moring.
Separately, the executive announced John Cleese has joined Samantha Bee and Martin Short on the animated feature Elliot: The Littlest Reindeer.

Jason Moring, Ddi president, announced that Billy Zane ("Zoolander 2," "Titanic") and Kim Coates ( "Sons of Anarchy," "Black Hawk Down") have joined Trilight Entertainment's feature film, "The Adventure Club."
The family feature film is written by Fred Ewanuick and Robin Dunne, directed by Geoff Anderson and Produced by Shayne Putzlocher, Glenn Paradis, Sara Shaak and Mark Montague.
Principal photography has now started in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. "The Adventure Club" will be distributed internationally through Ddi and introduced to buyers at the upcoming 2015 American Film Market, November 4-11.
"The Adventure Club" follows a group of young friends who find a magical mysterious box and are banded together on an exciting adventure. They encounter a number of challenges and adversaries, as "The Adventure Club" in order to outsmart opposing forces and save the day. The film marks the second film in the Ddi - Trilight Entertainment slate with private equity and gap financing arranged by Clairwood Capital.
