Besides being partly based on Jack and the Beanstalk, the "Bing Bong Beans" episode also borrows from Disney's Mickey and the Beanstalk (1947).
According to official social media accounts from Disney, Whoopty Doopty Schmoodily Duck is voiced by veteran voice artist Jimmy Weldon, who is best known for his role as the voice of Yakky Doodle for Hanna-Barbera. However, it has since been proven to be untrue; while Weldon did voice the Bean Salesman in this episode, this duck character was actually voiced by Maurice LaMarche.
The owner of the Bean store has a voice similar to that of Bing Crosby, a reference to the title of the episode: "Bing Bong Beans."
