  Tess Vargas : Yes, actually. Do not go pestering J.T. either. I know that he's helping you track down Bob and Carol, but he has his own issues to deal with.

  Catherine Chandler : Why, what's going on?

  Tess Vargas : It's, uh, healing factor in that serum, it's... accelerating.

  Catherine Chandler : Is he okay?

  Tess Vargas : [nods]  Better than okay. His... vision's suddenly perfect.

  [shakes her head] 

  Tess Vargas : He doesn't even need his glasses anymore

• Tess Vargas : Just because you're dating a police captain doesn't mean you can kick in other people's doors.

  J.T. Forbes : Vincent does it all the time. Why can't I have a little fun?

  Catherine Chandler : I'm not worried about Vincent. He can take care of himself.

  Catherine Chandler : We were never working together. You were trying to figure out what we knew before you tried to *kill* us.

  [shakes her head] 

  Carol Hall : Inseparable to a fault. That's why we came up with this plan.

  Catherine Chandler : To separate us, so you could kill me and capture Vincent. How do you know that we haven't changed, grown?

  Carol Hall : [shakes her head]  Co-dependency is not something that changes overnight. It takes more than a few weeks, trust me.

  Catherine Chandler : No, you trust me.

  [leans over table, glaring down] 

  Catherine Chandler : In the end, it's gonna be Vincent who walks through that door, not Bob. And then we'll see how much you loved him. Or...

  [sits down] 

  Catherine Chandler : you can tell me where Vincent is, help me to bring him back, and maybe I can help you.

  Carol Hall : You can't help us now, not against this.

  [shakes her head] 

  Catherine Chandler : The experiments? Is that what you're so afraid of? Or is it whoever's behind it?

  [Carol doesn't respond] 

  Catherine Chandler : Carol, come on. Just give me a name, help us to catch whoever's behind it, and I... I promise you...

  [shakes her head] 

  Catherine Chandler : I will do whatever I can to help.

  Carol Hall : Only Bob can help me now.

  [shakes her head] 

  Carol Hall : And only if Vincent turns out to be the beast that we think he is. And if he doesn't,

  [voice breaking:] 

  Carol Hall : then we're all dead.

  Tess Vargas : [comes barging in]  Where is he? Where is he?

  Catherine Chandler : Tess...!

  Tess Vargas : [attacks Carol]  Where is he? I want to know where he is! Now!

  Catherine Chandler : Tess, what's wrong?

  Tess Vargas : What's wrong is I just got a message from J.T. who all but said goodbye to me, trying to save Vincent from Bob.

  [yells furiously at Carol:] 

  Tess Vargas : I want to know where he is! $

  Carol Hall : It's too late.

  Catherine Chandler : Hey, Captain, you need to get a grip. You can't do this right now. Do you understand me?

  [Tess calms down a bit] 

  Catherine Chandler : Okay... just let me do my job. Let me keep working on her, all right?

  Tess Vargas : [softly]  Okay.

  Catherine Chandler : And in the meantime, you and I both have to have faith... in Vincent and in J.T.

  Tess Vargas : [softly]  Okay.

  [turns to go back on her way] 

  Catherine Chandler : Okay?

  Tess Vargas : [stops in doorway to glare at Carol]  If J.T.'s dead, you're dead.
