Stupid and unfunny
lor_4 March 2020
One of Jonathan Morgan's weakest rom-coms, this Wicked vehicle for then-contract star Samantha Saint runs its premise of "a roommate from Hell" into the ground, making for a torturous viewing. Its 138-minute running time is preposterous, as both Wicked and Vivid used to churn out junk like this in the 75-minute range back in the VHS era.

Saint's misfortunes are told in flashback, as she heads to L.A. for a cushy job for a financial firm, replete with new home, only to find the company being raided by the SEC. Not only is she out of a job, but has no place to stay.

She ends up sharing a space with tattooed lady Kleio Valentien, who makes life miserable for Saint, in order to get her to skedaddle and leave her hefty security deposit.

Nothing remotely funny transpires here, in a movie that is more mean-spirited than necessary. Eventually Saint winds up with the Guy, played by Xander Corvus but until then the audience must suffer.
