(July 14, 2017) — From Disney and Jerry Bruckheimer Films, it was announced today at D23 Expo, that Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales—the fifth film in the now-iconic Pirates of the Caribbean film franchise—will sail home on Digital in HD and 4K Ultra HD™ on September 19, and on 4K Ultra HD™/Blu-ray™ Combo Pack, DVD and On-Demand on October 3.
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales is a rollicking new tale of the high seas, infused with all the elements of fantasy, humor and action that have resulted in an international phenomenon for the past 13 years. Johnny Depp returns to his Academy Award®-nominated role as the outrageous, swashbuckling scoundrel Captain Jack Sparrow, and is joined by Oscar® winners Javier Bardem (Best Supporting Actor, No Country for Old Men) and Geoffrey Rush (Best Actor, Shine).

The line-up for the 70th Edinburgh International Film Festival (Eiff) has been unveiled this morning by artistic director Mark Adams.
This year’s Eiff (June 15-26) will comprise a total 161 features from 46 countries including: 22 world premieres, five international premieres, 17 European premieres and 85 UK premieres.
Highlights include the UK premiere of Disney-Pixar animation Finding Dory, in-person events that include Us indie filmmaker Kevin Smith and Sex & The City actress Kim Cattrall, and the opening and closing gala world premieres of the previously announced Tommy’s Honour and Whisky Galore!.
Old classics will be re-imagined with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra performing the score to E.T. Justin Kurzel's adaptation of William Shakespeare's Macbeth will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival tomorrow and in advance of its Croisette debut, Studio Canal has released two official clips from the film that finds Michael Fassbender in the title role alongside Marion Cotillard as Lady Macbeth. Along with Fassbender and Cotillard the film co-stars Paddy Considine, David Thewlis, Sean Harris, Jack Reynor and Elizabeth Debicki and will be released stateside by the Weinstein Co. later this year, and its premiere at Cannes will suggest what kind of release it gets as that late festival screening is a little worrisome, though the talent in front of and behind the camera is very promising. Neither of the clips give us much information in way of story, but they definitely suggest the style Kurzel and cinematographer Adam Arkapaw are going for.
