A smashing start to this wonderful series.

A skeleton is found in a building, buy lacks identification, Cassie and Sunny are on the case to identify the remains, and find out what happened to him.

I badly missed Waking the dead when it finished, and this is the closest possible to it, indeed it's as good. Same sort of set up, but with less shouting, it even features Trevor Eve and Claire Goose.

I am so intrigued to learn more, it's a fashionable story, with plenty of characters and suspects. Lizzie Wilton is interesting, just what happened to her son, Ruth Sheen is wonderful.

Nicola Walker and Sanjeev Bhaskar just make the most wonderful duo, the pair are fabulous together.

8/10 Great start.

Brilliant, excellent writing, first class acting

Binge watched the entire first series; the acting just held me spellbound as did the excellent writing. It is rather dark but thankfully doesn't do what most American shows do which is.. that's all there is. The story is riveting, the production first class and the acting just outstanding. An array of solid English actors who just couldn't be better from Tom Courtenay to Nicola Walker, Bernard Hill to Trevor Eve and Gemma Jones to Hannah Gordon. Thank you you all. Starting the second series now.

A Little Slow, but Riveting

We are introduced to a couple of cold case investigators. A workman finds the skeleton of a man when concrete is chipped away. At first it would seem that this body could be decades old and not worth the effort. But our two investigators, though clashing at times, pursue a clue, a car key on the body. They then make the outrageous discovery of the murdered man. There are some subplots. One is a man who is moving into a position in the House of Lords. Another is an old man and his wife who are saddled with dementia. Finally, there is focus on a soccer player and the family that is looking out for him. I look forward to the next episode. And getting to know these people.
