Sex & Nudity

  • The enemy Zacchino declares love for Charlotte Aulin, leaving him defenseless.
  • Charlotte has a hidden pose where she spins, puts her legs shoulder-width apart and crosses her arms behind her head. This is done rather coquettishly. One can see her breasts bounce upon completion of the pose.
  • The Alura Une enemy is a completely nude woman in a large rose, showing quite a bit of frontal nudity. No genitalia is seen.
  • The Medusa boss is seen as naked from the waist up, though no nipples are seen on her breasts.
  • The Succubus and Lilith enemies come at Jonathan Morris in a very sensual manner, coaxing him.
  • The Persephone enemy sometimes uses a vacuum cleaner to temporarily incapacitate the player. If this is done on Charlotte, she will try her best to keep her skirt down to prevent exposure of her own private areas. This is done in a comical fashion. Conversely, if Charlotte attacks Persephone with the Tempest spell, it will have the same effect (she will be forced to push her own skirt down)

Violence & Gore

  • Jonathan and Charlotte fight hordes of enemies with different, varying weapons of combat (swords, axes, polearms, clubs, whips, etc.).
  • Monsters mostly burst into flames when killed, but still go through a death sequence all the same.
  • Blood can be seen splattering from non-skeletal enemies and the two main characters when attacked.
  • Jonathan and Charlotte's own death sequences showcase a lot of splattering blood.

Profanity

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Dracula tosses a wine glass on the floor before the two heroes. It could be speculated that wine or a certain spirit could have been in the glass.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • One "Game Over" screen shows a skull with its jaw wide open and a sword in it while a snake wraps around it, and the background shows Dracula's castle in the dark midnight. It can be really creepy for some.
  • Another "Game Over" screen shows a portrait with a woman bearing an exceptionally striking resemblance to the Virgin Mary, and she's weeping blood and has a depressed grimacing look on her face with swords behind her and the background is completely black. This one is extremely frightening, harrowing and nightmare-inducing, and is even creepier than the normal "Game Over" screen, so it can be incredibly scary for many.
  • In keeping with the franchise, the game has a dark, horror-like atmosphere.
  • Some other eerie circumstances and areas are seen outside of the traditional horror theme; the "Nation of Fools" stage, for instance, showcases a twisting circus in the ruins of a town ravaged by war. As this is taking place in 1944, near the tail end of World War II, such a scenario is all the more disturbing.
