An emotionally resonant and profoundly touching film
mortenhh10 May 2023
"Journey" is an emotionally resonant and profoundly touching film that shines a light on an aspect of life that many may not be familiar with but is a stark reality for countless others. At its core, the film is a powerful depiction of love, determination, and the lengths one will go to protect and provide for their family.

Briones and Rodriguez have genuinely outdone themselves with "Journey." It's not only a beautifully crafted film but also a testament to the power of storytelling and the importance of representation. They've managed to create a movie that not only entertains but also educates and sparks important conversations about immigration, family, and resilience.

Journey is a must see

Loved this film, so much depth. Makes you think "what you would do? And an inside look at some of the traumas associated to the genre.

I knew this was an independent film going into it so my expectations were low but not because I thought it would be bad but because I wanted to be critical on what matters like some of the color could be tighter.

The cinematography in the Mexico areas were well done and very cinematic. Some of the US shots felt sharp and less cinematic but that could have been on purpose to show contrast.

Once I settled into the film I was able to truly enjoy the characters and story and follow or try to anticipate what would happen next.

Def a must watch.
