With girlfriends, careers and dreams fast becoming as elusive as mist, Enzo and Ricardo seek to drown their woes in the Saturday night atmosphere of Buenos Aires. The two friends agree to only have a good time and that "no important decision should be made after 1:00 am." This maxim soon goes out the window as they find themselves in simultaneous flight from, and pursuit of, a borrowed Mercedes, drug dealing cougar, deranged repo man, coke, cash, poodle, revenge and girlfriends past, present and future.
The plot, according to the director who was present at this 2016 Miami International Film Festival screening, is based on real life incidents. It is wonderful to be immersed in Buenos Aires at night and to experience the unrestrained jokes, unconventional fare and zany life in another hemisphere. Even while the director and many of the actors are new to filmmaking, the film comes together well. However, the meager film budget shows in disjointed scenes and a lack of depth. Guadalupe Docampo is beautiful!
