Some people say they prefer video games to any kind of TV show these days, and it's not hard to see why. Not only do games offer amazing stories and great graphics, but they also draw you in and make you feel like a part of the universe in which the events take place.
However, games take time, skill, and patience, and they're not for everyone. So, if you are interested in some of the plots of video games, but want to sit back and relax while watching them, here are 8 best adaptations that might be a perfect choice.
8. Sonic Prime (2022-...) – 60%
The fate of the world is once again in Sonic's hands as he must use his super speed to save the newly created multiverse. Although the latest installment of the famous hedgehog's journey didn't impress audiences too much, viewers were much more appreciative, giving the show an 86% approval rating.

Sanguis bibimus! Corpus edimus! In a partnership between Mutant, Hollywood Records, and 20th Century Films, the haunting soundtrack to "The First Omen" can soon be yours on vinyl. The prequel to Richard Donner's 1976 masterpiece, director Arkashsa Stevenson's most excellent "The First Omen" is the rare example of a legacy film done right, and what /Film's Witney Seibold described in his review, as "a film of dank, bloody, spittle-flecked dread, made no less powerful by the foregone conclusion." Donner's original film shocked audiences upon release and is believed to this day to be a cursed film, but Stevenson's prequel film had to fight with the MPA to avoid an Nc-17 rating, so the franchise tradition of scaring the squares is alive and well.
"The Omen" was scored by Jerry Goldsmith, who was nominated for an Oscar for Best Original Score, but took home the "Best Original Song" statue for the movie's theme "Ave Satani,...

Madame Web was a huge disappointment for Marvel fans. It had an exceptional cast of actors, including Dakota Johnson, Sydney Sweeney, Adam Scott, and Emma Roberts. On top of this, the film was an entire project centered in the world of Spider-People, and the last project to do something like this, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, was extremely successful.
Despite this, the film was severely criticized in every aspect. So much so, that it became one of the worst-doing films in Marvel history, even having a budget of only $80 million.
Madame Web
While these unfortunate predispositions may lead to the film having no chance at having any future parts, fans have come up with the perfect plot for its sequel. Interestingly enough, it completely relies on the film’s deceased villain and a character from Tom Hardy’s Venom.

The Spanish world premiere that made the most waves at this year’s San Sebastian Festival was not a film but a series, “La Mesías,” written, directed and produced by Javier Ambrossi and Javier Calvo.
“A masterpiece,” proclaimed Spanish website Cineconñ; national newspaper El Mundo greeted it as the first work of maturity from hugely unconventional auteurs.
Now bound for Mipcom, where the series receives a market screening, “La Mesías” says much about the ambitions of its creators and its backer, Movistar Plus.
In 2017, Telefónica-owned Movistar Plus, Spain’s biggest SVOD-pay TV player, rocked the San Sebastian Festival with “The Plague,” then the biggest series ever made in Spain.
“La Mesías” follows Ambrossi and Calvo’s overseas breakout “Veneno,” which was picked up by HBO Max for the U.S. market, and made Ambrossi and Calvo among the most-courted young showrunners in Europe.

Pop sensation Rihanna and rapper Asap Rocky unveiled the unique name of their second child, a month after the singer gave birth. The 35-year-old “Diamonds” hitmaker and the 34-year-old rapper have chosen to name their son: Riot Rose Mayers.
The name “Riot” appears to be a namesake for Asap Rocky’s recent song, “Riot,” released earlier this year, featuring Pharrell Williams.
The birth certificate confirms that Riot was born on August 1, 2023, at Cedar Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, marking a joyous moment for the couple at 7:41 a.m.
Rihanna and Asap Rocky have continued their tradition of selecting names starting with the letter ‘R,’ as they did with their first son, born in May 2022, whom they named RZA Athelston Mayers.
The significance of their first son’s name, “RZA,” pays homage to the legendary producer and rapper RZA, known for leading the Wu-Tang Clan, with his real name being Robert Fitzgerald Diggs.

A$AP Rocky has shared a new single called “Riot (Rowdy Pipe’n),” which he co-produced along with Pharrell Williams.
Naturally, “Riot (Rowdy Pipe’n)” begins with Pharrell’s trademark quarter-note production tag, this time delivered by way of victorious horns. The track earns its uproarious title with a heavy-hitting beat that feels tailor-made for jumping and fist-pumping, with plenty of “woo”s thrown in there throughout for good measure.
Rocky’s lyrics flip between lines that could fit in a motivational speaker’s repertoire – “We grow, we learn and we live/ Opposite of quiet,” he spits on the chorus – and his classic braggadocious swagger: “My wife is erotic, I’m smokin’ exotic,” he continues in one of the verses. Considering that’s Rihanna he’s talking about, we can’t exactly disagree with him. Stream Rocky and Pharrell’s “Riot (Rowdy Pipe’n)” below.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and music go together like the Ninja Turtles and pizza; the two are intrinsically linked. From the iconic theme song of the 1987 animated series, to Vanilla Ice’s tie-in “Ninja Rap” for 1991’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze, and even their semi-forgotten 1990 stage rock and roll musical Coming Out of Their Shells, no matter the genre, these green teens are always rocking big tunes.
With music playing such a big role in the Turtles’ history, director Jeff Rowe and executive producer Seth Rogen had to be extra thoughtful when selecting the songs for the soundtrack of the Turtles’ latest film, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem. With its distinctive animation style, the feature film finds our pizza-loving Turtles escaping their sheltered existence in the sewers as they seek to be accepted as normal teenagers through acts of heroism.

The 1990s were an exciting period for action films, with many of them getting released direct-to-video and showing up seemingly randomly at local video stores, requiring fans of the genre to have memberships at multiple locations to get to see everything. There was so much that if attention wasn’t paid, titles would be missed easily or rented twice under different titles at different video stores. Stars emerged within those ranks and gathered the love and adoration of fans. Here are the 10 of the best Dtv action stars of that era:
Dolph Lundgren
Let’s start with the obvious man on the list, the one that everyone saw films from at their local video stores. Lundgren had films that were released in theaters, on video, and direct to cable in some cases during the 1990s, but one thing is for sure, he was a mainstay of the action film aisle...

A week away from the release of Paramount’s “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One,” critics have praised the new film as yet another triumph for its leading man, Tom Cruise, and one of if not the best film of the summer.
While some critics noted that the film doesn’t quite reach the heights of its 2018 predecessor “Mission: Impossible — Fallout” or Cruise’s 2022 Best Picture Oscar nominated “Top Gun: Maverick,” reviews agree it has plenty of the wild and tense set pieces that “Mission” fans have come to expect, including a comedic car chase through the streets of Rome, a nail-biting train chase and a much-marketed shot of Cruise riding a motorcycle off a cliff.

The basics for Riot Mode are as follows: Jacob finds himself in an isolated corner of the prison, with just three rooms and connecting hallways that contain loot crates full of health gel packs, health injectors, Grp batteries, and ammunition. Armed with the stun baton, Grp, a hand cannon, and a riot gun to start, you’ll have to defend yourself from endless waves of biophage enemies that vary in strength and composition. The longer you survive, the more you’ll be hunted.

Deadline notes that “his bruising running style redefined the running back position”. He was the first NFL player to make over 100 career rushing touchdowns and set single season and career rushing records. He was a three time Mvp, Rookie of the Year, eight time All-Pro, and eight time rushing leader. With him on the team, the Browns won the NFL championship...

Jim Brown, the NFL titan who appeared in “The Dirty Dozen,” many Blaxploitation films plus Oliver Stone’s “Any Given Sunday,” “The Running Man,” Tim Burton’s “Mars Attacks” and Spike Lee’s “He Got Game,” to name a few, died Thursday in Los Angeles. He was 87.
His wife Monique posted the news of his death on Instagram, saying, “He passed peacefully last night at our L.A. home.”
In nine extraordinary seasons as a fullback with the Cleveland Browns, Brown set an array of NFL records. In 2002, The Sporting News named him the greatest professional football player ever. That phenomenal athleticism and a charismatic personality made him bankable as the first African American action star.
“On behalf of the entire NFL family, we extend our condolences to Monique and their family,” said NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. “Jim Brown was a gifted athlete — one of the most dominant players to...

When Kane Brown got the call that CBS wanted to use his song “Riot” to promote the breakthrough TV series Fire Country, the multi-platinum artist who had dreams of acting before singing had a proposal: Use my song but put me in the show.
And they agreed.
Now, the 29-year-old is making his acting debut on the April 7 episode of the series, which launched last year and has already been renewed for a second season.
“They wrote a script specifically for me to jump on the show,” Brown tells The Hollywood Reporter of his character Robin, a mysterious train hopper who helps injured patients on the scene of a crash. “Acting’s something I’ve always wanted to do, so it was cool to be a part of [this] for my first time, especially the character. Life Is Beautiful feels like Las Vegas … actual Las Vegas, not the touristy Strip about four miles south. While many festivals take place in unremarkable parking lots, dirt fields, or parks, Life Is Beautiful is baked into downtown Vegas. It may be the only large-scale festival where people actually live in houses and apartments within festival grounds.
Make no mistake about it, this is an urban festival, with all the markings of a hip downtown scene — a line of more than 30-people deep waiting to go to cocktail school at...

Safe House 1618 is the latest film about criminals on the run taking refuge in a house that turns out not to be nearly as safe as they thought. From Fight for Your Life and The Desperate Hours to Hideout and Blood Massacre it’s a well-used theme in several genres. Can writer/director Calvin T. Shepherd find a new way to tell it?
The film opens with the murder of a bound man by a masked figure. A cell phone message indicates the victim double-crossed whoever ordered his death. From there we move to three masked figures in the back of a truck. It backs into the driveway of a house with an armed guard who is stupid enough to walk up to the truck and let himself be disarmed.

“American Idol” crowned a new winner last night (May 22). Twenty-year old Louisa, Kentucky native Noah Thompson sealed the deal with a sultry performance of Bruce Springsteen’s “I’m on Fire” and his original song, “One Day Tonight.” He beat out fellow country artist, HunterGirl.
After Thompson’s rendition of “I’m on Fire” — from Springsteen’s “Born in the USA” album — judge Katy Perry foreshadowed his victory. “So many people have fallen in love during that song, used it as their first-dance song,” she said. “I think you just swooped in and grabbed every heart in America by singing that song.”
Thompson also performed Rihanna’s “Stay,” his out-of-the-box pick from early in the season, and delivered a perfect duet with powerhouse Melissa Etheridge for her hit, “I’m The Only One.”

American Idol crowned another winner Sunday, and it was a country music showdown for the ages.
ABC went live coast-to-coast to allow the final three the opportunity to make a plea for America's vote.
Thanks to the excessive three-hour runtime, the episode was overstuffed, but hey, at least we got some great musical performances along the way.
Even after all these years, the former Fox reality series still knows how to deliver show-stopping performances, thanks to the wide array of talent the producers reel in to take part.
Leah Marlene kicked off the show in thrilling fashion with a rendition of Bruce Springsteen's "Born in the USA," a performance that garnered the 20-year-old much praise from the judges.
"What big boots you have stepped into," Lionel Richie said, clearly impressed by the immense talent on the show this year.

‘Morning Joe’ to Conservatives Downplaying Capitol Riot: ‘Spare Us Your Backing of the Blue’ (Video)
MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” urged conniservatives who downplay the deadly Capitol riot to stop saying they support law enforcement.
“You can spare us, now, at this point, as you watch — if you’re still defending what happened on Jan. 6, you can spare us your backing of the blue. It doesn’t mean anything. If you truly believe that police are heroic — I happen to agree with that position — that video ought to make you sick to your stomach. It ought to appall you,” said co-host Willie Geist after rolling newly-released footage of Capitol police officers being hit with American flags by supporters of former president Donald Trump.
Geist and co-hosts Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough went on to discuss the various GOP figureheads who have downplayed the violence from that day, on which five people died as Trump supporters stormed the Capitol in an effort to overturn President Joe Biden’s 2020 electoral win.
