The Always Entertaining Keith David....
Man vs Aliens: An Interview with Keith David (2012)
*** 1/2 (out of 4)
This interview with actor Keith David has him mainly discussing his work on John Carpenter's THEY LIVE but we'd all be disappointed if Shout Factory! didn't have him mention THE THING as well. David starts off talking about why he wanted to become an actor and then we move onto the shooting of THE THING. This includes how he got the part, the special effects that were in the film and the various props that Universal sent him when the movie was released. He also tells us what his idea for a possible sequel would have been. From here he talks about being out of work as an actor and how Carpenter called him up saying that he wrote a part in THEY LIVE just for him. From here David talks about the "working homeless" in the film as well as the now fan-favorite fight between he and Roddy Piper. I've always enjoyed David as an actor so it was great getting to hear from him on two of his best roles. The actor certainly comes across very fun in the interview as he shares some pretty good stories about both films.
