Everything could be so perfect, but Murat is part of the baggage. A young Casanova, who just recently broke the heart of Klaus' daughter. And Klaus doesn't want to miss the opportunity to teach him a lesson about how to respect woman. A well intended mission suddenly turns shaky. When Klaus wakes up the morning after a rough hit on his head, he suddenly wants to walk his dog Rudy. Though unfortunately Rudy passed away 2 years ago. The men are faced with a difficult decision: Should they tell their friend that Rudi is dead and risk breaking Klaus' heart again? ... but good friends are there to always help each other, so they all head to look for the dog that allegedly has gone missing.
- Finally a quiet weekend in the countryside! Overlooking the shiny lake, frying self-fished fish and having a few beers with his longtime buddie Klaus (Oliver Marlo) and his brother Peter (Frank Auerbach). This is how Bernd (Matthias Brenner) imagines his long awaited vacation with his buddies to be. But why does Klaus necessarily want Murat (Ismail Sahin), the ex-boyfriend of his daughter, to be there as well? He doesnt fit into the party at all. Klaus is keen to teach the Casanova who has broken the heart of his daughter Olivia an invaluable lesson. A punch in the face might have been sufficient - however Peter has calmed Klaus down and inspired him to strike a deal with Murat. Klaus wants to make on a quiet weekend without being surrounded by women to Murat clear what his chauvinistic behavior is causing. Murat would gladly pass on this opportunity to spend time with 3 elder men in the idyllic countryside. But as he gave his word to join, it is a matter of pride now. Leaving his one-night stand behind in bed, he jumps into the car with the 3 men. He dozes off and falls on Peters lap due to lack of sleep. Peter promptly flushes, despite being married and in love with his wife, but the well-trained men makes him uncomfortably excited. The four men arrive at the lake house with all being in a different stage of mind. No one seems to enjoy it yet. Murat wants to see the village beauty Sophie (Oona-Devi Liebich) again who he met during a pit stop. As he wants to borrow the keys for the car from Bernd to drive back to the village, they suddenly seem lost without any trace. Without any women in no mans land - the only help left is alcohol. Thus, the four of them sit by the lake and work on reducing their beer supply until Klaus gets quite melancholy speak about his long time deceased dog Rudy, who had taught him the true meaning of loyalty. However, the speech targeted to Murat ends abruptly with Bernd and Peters fishing venture - which ends with Klaus head being hit by a swing and him falling unconsciously into the water. Murat acts quickly and saves Klaus life. Bernds perception of Murat changes immediately. In the next morning the men realise that much more has changed. Klaus is suddenly convinced that his dog is alive and and is simply cut off only. Was it the blow to the head? Or the fear of drowning? Or is the whole thing part of Klaus plan to teach Murat a lesson? Everyone has their own reason to play the "game" and so they all begin a big search and rescue mission for "Rudy" where Murat also has the opportunity to get closer to Sophie who works at an animal clinic. The situation becomes more and more absurd, the more confused Klaus is becoming and the more and more the men get tangled in their lies and start to argue. Before the truth comes out, Klaus nearly drowns for a second time as he has forgotten how to swim. Klaus is seriously ill. And not even his best friend has noticed that. At the end of the vacation it is not only Murat who learned his lesson. Maybe he can let himself fall in love for the first time with Sophie. Maybe Peter can finally come out. Maybe Klaus will continue living happy moments for many years. Anyhow he can be certain that his friend Bernd will stand by his side.
