A solid and worthwhile, but "average" film.

Sensible, watchable & believable. Slow and a bit boring at times, but the acting and story are pretty realistic. The actress playing the dying mother did a super job!

Overall, this is NOT a waste of time, but nothing great or special either.

Believable Story, Excellent Writing

Warning: Spoilers
This story of a thirty-three-year-old coming home after an absence of fifteen years to look after his dying mother is totally believable. I watched it last night with my partner of 22 years, and some of the scenes between son and mother when he was helping her in and out of bed made him think of a recent experience taking care of his grandmother. "That's exactly what it was like," he said several times during the movie.

There was no love lost between son and mother and we began to understand why he'd left home at the age of eighteen.

The writing - especially the dialogue between mother and son - was superb.

I wear hearing aids and even without closed-captions (which would have been great) most of the dialogue came through with clarity.

Nostalgia and facets of love
minimaster-6773426 December 2018
We all know love comes in many different ways: family love, loving someone, self-love, loving moments of life and even learning to love life the way it is. This movie gathers all of this and showcases them in a little monotonous, but still eye-catching, way.

Take a chance on this one

Warning: Spoilers
This is just the opinion of a gay man with no talent.

This indie deserves the time you will take to watch it. This cast is perfect! They do a great job with an amazing story. Cristopher Howell injects an amount of realism and feeling into the part. With just enough of the self centered burn your bridges a--hole that makes the ending. Well You need to watch. Unfortunately James Fuerte as Joe doesn't get the opportunity to show his talent. I think I would have liked to see him give in to the Love he still has for Ben. That Ben never realized existed in his 18yo self absorbed self. Caitlin Nichol Thomas does the FAG HAG with a 15 yo.crush justice.

Do yourself a favor watch this feel good movie!
