Dad Behaviour is a good Simpsons episode with a reasonably well written plot and plenty of very funny scenes. The Grampa sub plot was very entertaining, and the overall show would have been better had this been the main story. It immediately took me by surprise when he said he was going to be a father again, and the plot takes interesting turns throughout, but it was sadly underused.
This episode bared far too many similarities to a previous Simpsons from the fourth season, entitled Brother from the Same Planet. Both episodes see Homer and Bart finding replacements for one another, this is basically a technological update to that episode, and it is a far less effective story.
The highlight of this episode, for me, was actually the opening credits, instead of merely altering the chalkboard and the couch gag, we see each character mess up in their day to day routine, and as a result fail to make it home on time for the show. It is a groundbreaking opening that I feel fans will remember.
It does not stand out in any way, but its fun while it lasts. Funny, albeit forgettable, Dad Behaviour is an enjoyable Simpsons.
Things backfire when Homer uses an app to outsource his father-son bonding with Bart. Meanwhile, Grampa discovers he is about to be a dad once more.
