Disgrace for Chinese Animation Industry
fotiac22 August 2015
Mentioning the quality of 3D modeling and plot only brings me cancer. The director reused models in Pixar's Cars and reused clips from the director's previous TV series for the exact same plot. There are only 5 characters in this film and only 2 settings - one wherever indoor and one cheaply-made exterior scene. Looking at the good side, in term of bringing people a sense of suffocation, yes, you've made it!

I watched this animation film online - of course skipped a lot. In fact the reason I clicked the play button was due to its copycat poster and the misleading title. ("qiche REN zongdongyuan" instead of the Pixar Cars title Mandarin translation "saiche zongdongyuan")

Seriously, anyone could conduct better plot than that, with the TEAM FORTRESS camera function.

In the Chinese movie review site Douban, insiders shared speculations about this movie's profit center being not in the cinema, but in governmental subsidy for entertainment industry. I don't want to admit that this is true and bring disgrace for Chinese animation industry, but corruption within cinema chains is the only possible explanation. Never had a scandal been this ridiculous, but the director announced the production of its sequel nevertheless. Director, please stop bringing disgrace to your people.

This rip-off is worse than Cars 2
maxkatsur5 April 2021
Autobots is the worst Chinese rip-off ever done by another human being. It's an rip-off oto mediocre Cars sequel that proved Pixar is not perfect. It's an insult to Cars franchise.

Poor animation and graphics, unfitting music, forgettable characters, the poster ripping off infamous Cars 2, races are boring. Overall, it is ugly, cheap, boring piece of garbage worse than infamous Half-Life 2 fan game Hunt Down The Freeman.

The decline of Chinese animation
YeliWalis25 January 2022
In my impression, Chinese animation should be very distinctive, and it should be the best. However, this movie makes me feel that Chinese animation has declined. This movie copied Pixar in style, and it was copied like this, the director has a brain disease, right? Not only that, when Pixar took him to court, he asked for 3 million in damages, but only 1 million, and then the director also said that the law favored Pixar. Is that a reason? He also said that he would do the second part, but it was not done. I wish Chinese animation could cheer up!

I thought Cars 2 was bad
DannyD199716 July 2015
I hate racism, but I cannot believe that China made a mock-buster rip- off of Disney & Pixar's Cars!!!! The Autobots (almost feels like a reference to Hasbro's Transformers) is literally one of the worst animated films ever! The animation sucked, the story is crap, the writing makes no sense, and If I hear the English dub of this, I would say it's horrible! I consider this AS bad as Where the Dead Go to Die and Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Across the 2nd Dimension (one of the WORST animated films from Disney). This comes from Xiamen Lanhuoyan Film Animation Company. Maybe THAT studio would be worse than films from Spark Plug Entertainment and Toyland Video. I hate mock-busters so much. This movie IS a mock-buster AND IT MAKES NO SENSE AT ALL!!!! I love China, but this movie was awful.

this is the worst pixar knockoff i ever seen that it made me laugh.
BraydenTheLoser1415 December 2021
I know, this film is pretty terrible, the poster is scamming you into thinking the movie has great CGI, but when you watch the film, you just get bad animation, plain objects, and guess what, OBJECTS GLITCH THROUGH LOL, THE POSTER IS STOLEN FROM CARS 2 and they made changes to it, I was watching this movie at school today, and I'm only 40 minutes into the film, so this is just an early review on the film, the film is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BAD THAT IT MADE ME LAUGH LOL, IS THERE EVEN A GOAL TO THIS MOVIE?!!!??!!?!?!? It doesn't say their goal in the plot, I will give this a 2/10, the reason why I didn't rate it 1 is because it is so funny how the film is so terrible, no for real.... THIS FILM SUCKS, IT IS ONE OF THE WORST KNOCKOFFS I EVER SEEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok bye. :)

The Autobots (2015) review -- my opinion
maxcinquemani-8245629 January 2024
Warning: Spoilers
The movie was bad since it was a rip-off of Cars 2 and didn't do well in the box office. It was unwatchable since the animation was bad, the pacing was slow and extremely ugly and it made absolutely no sense. The poster is misleading and it even has an unoriginal stolen soundtrack. They should make dubs of this movie in other languages but I can only imagine the voice acting for it would be really bad and seems like this movie makes me think the creator is on drugs and it is so low budget to the point where the editing looks like it was done on iMovie. Please don't watch this movie or else it may affect you and if you enjoy it you should get serious mental help. They only good thing about this movie is it's unique storyline and attempted racing scenes but they are poorly rendered and executed so it is not enough to redeem the film.

The hell
radiobelgium29 March 2024
I saw the footage at first and thought it was the making of it. After that it seemed like a game.

I decided to watch the movie and felt nauseous. Those graphics 0/10 I thought the Chinese were great at good stuff and graphics.

IPhones make good, speakers make good do. But don't make ANIMATION worthless. Just the Autobots, that was the intention 😂. Seemed to be more on drugs. And those people look like my grandfather Underground. White looks white. These types of animations should be banned. It's a nightmare for children. And a humiliation to Pixar. Who have made good cars movies. Do you want to sleep? Don't watch this.

C'mon guys, this movie has nothing to do with cars
carboyyoung22 January 2024
Warning: Spoilers
This movie is so good and beautiful. It is a cinematic masterpiece and I cannot believe Pixar ripped off this movie!

Hahaha, just kidding, This movie is a disgrace to my favourite movie series, which is Disney Pixar's Cars, and Cars 2. This movie is an obvious mockbuster to the movie Cars 2, and the creator lied that it was an independently produced film and it was inspired by Cars. Like dude, it's obviously a rip off. Even defending the case by saying, "I never saw cars before." How stupid do you think we are? Thankfully, disney won the copyright case.

This movie's voice actors are the worst. All the characters have child voices, in which I am sure that this movie must've been made by kids. You can obviously tell too because the animation quality is awful, like I mean AWFUL! The animation is so bad you could easily think that it was made by a two year old. EVEN A TWO YEAR OLD CAN DO BETTER THAN THIS! The animation also feels like that Johnny Johnny animation on Youtube, which is absolutely horrifying. EVen the peoples heads are really big, it is horrifying.

The plot of this movie makes no sense. It's like random stuff were thrown into a blender and uses that as their plot. The racing scenes made no sense either.

This movie is the worst of all time. Don't watch this, EVER! Unless you want to lose your sanity.
