Valerie Bertinelli is signing off of social media — at least for a little while. The One Day at a Time and Daytime Emmy-winning Valerie’s Home Cooking star announced her decision to take a break from the internet on Friday. “The last six or so weeks have been…a Lot,” Bertinelli wrote. “And while I am incredibly grateful for all your support for my book and everyone I’ve had the good fortune to meet, this here introvert in extrovert’s clothing is in need of a mental health break.” Bertinelli’s latest book, Indulge: Delicious and Decadent Dishes to Enjoy and Share, hit shelves on April 2, and she spent time promoting the release in various magazine, newspaper, and television interviews, including memorable appearances on The View and The Kelly Clarkson Show. “I know, I know, this isn’t an airport, I don’t need to announce my departure,” Bertinelli’s post continued.

Valerie Bertinelli will not “die alone” as she suspected she would following her 2022 split from her second husband. The TV personality, who has weathered several rough years, including being unceremoniously fired from the Food Network just months ago, has someone new in her life. In a recent interview, Bertinelli talked about her new romance, but she won’t be naming any names. Her boyfriend will remain a mystery.
Valerie Bertinelli says she wasn’t expecting to fall in love
Bertinelli might want to keep the identity of her new man secret, but she isn’t shying away from discussing just how surprised she was to find herself in a new relationship. Bertinelli has discussed her love life multiple times over the years, and she was adamant that following her second divorce, she was content with being alone. Even now, in a chat with People, she insisted her new romance was never “supposed” to happen.

Valerie Bertinelli’s departure from “Kids Baking Championship” is not a cut-and-dry case of Food Network firing the “One Day at a Time” alum from her role as co-host and judge of the show. Rather, it’s the aftermath of the Warner Bros. Discovery-owned channel deciding not to renew Bertinelli’s larger exclusive deal with the network when it ended in 2022, sources tell Variety.
Bertinelli signed a multi-series deal with Food Network in 2018, which expired in 2021. The pact was extended for an additional year and came to an end in 2022, when the currently airing Season 12 of “Kids Baking Championship” was taped back to back with Season 11. Bertinelli has co-hosted and judged ‘Kids,” a spinoff of Food Network’s larger “Baking Championship” competition franchise that includes holiday and seasonal iterations, alongside Duff Goldman since it first debuted on Food Network in 2015.
“Her deal expired, they opted not to renew it.

Robert Irvine has weighed in on the end of his long-running Food Network series Restaurant: Impossible. The series followed Irvine as he made over struggling restaurants in just two days and with a $10,000 budget. But the show no longer fit with what Food Network viewers wanted to see on TV, leading the network to cancel the series, the chef and TV host recently shared on social media.
‘Restaurant: Impossible’ canceled after 22 seasons
Restaurant: Impossible was a Food Network staple for years, originally airing from 2011 to 2016. The show then went on hiatus for three years before returning in 2019. It wrapped up its 22nd season in April 2023. Those episodes proved to be the last for the show. In May, Irvine responded to a fan question about the program’s future with some disappointing news.

Valerie Bertinelli is attached to star opposite Demi Lovato in a single-camera comedy pilot produced by Universal Television that was ordered by NBC this April. The project, titled “Hungry,” follows friends who belong to a food-issues group as they help each other look for love, success and the perfect thing in the fridge that’s going to make it all better.
The series hails from Emmy-winning writer and executive producer Suzanne Martin, who is best known for her work on “Frasier.” She most recently wrote for and executive produced the revival of NBC “Will & Grace.” “Will & Grace” star Sean Hayes will also executive produce along with Todd Milliner via Hazy Mills. Lovato reunites with both Martin and Hayes, as the musician appeared in multiple episodes of the “Will & Grace” revival. She will executive produce in addition to starring. Martin and Hazy Mills are both currently under overall deals at the studio,...
