Boring for adults, ok for kids
WesY2K-TheOriginal20 January 2019
I am not familiar with the books this is based on but it felt like a typical product for kids (especially girls). We as parents didn't follow the movie too much because it was predictable, you could leave the room for 30 minutes and would still know what is going on. The kids were entertained but didn't land a spot on any top 10 list (maybe top 10 movies we won't watch in a long time).

And for a Til Schweiger Haters: this must be one of his best movies (he is only in it for about 2 minutes).

I like it a lot!

I liked this film a lot. it's very COOL. I want to see it again! (and I watched it yesterday). The bad guy is very funny and a very good actor. I like a lot the girl that plays Billy. She's a very good actress. I am 7 years old and I live in Spain.

Smart and funny adventure for the whole family!
manwunsch9 October 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Following the recipe of long standing family entertainment tradition, Franziska Buch gives us a story both funny and smart and displays lots of heart and humor! Conni and Paul have to start at a new school and find it hard to make friends. Especially since Paul caves under peer pressure and agrees not to be friends with Conni anymore because she's a girl. Conni still has her consolation prize: a little puppy her parents give to her. But then it turns out that her kid brother is allergic and the little dog already has an owner: the awful headmaster of Conni's new school. She'd accept it all until she learns that Paul's new boy friends convince him to prove himself to them by doing something very stupid and dangerous. Plus - the headmaster is only using his sweet puppy to sell him for TV commercials. That's enough: Conni has to save them both! How she manages both tasks without getting in even more trouble and how she finds new friends by doing the right things, that's what it's all about. Nicely done! Kids love every single character, grown ups are not put off by the story. What more can you ask?
