I have watched this film 5 times on the screen. Although I couldn't well understood at first, sensitive feelings of the characters have been transmitted from their delicate expression every time I saw, I realized that this story was in a deep love. And, I felt the contrast between immoral affairs of murderers and sad eyes of the ghost of slain husband was so amazing. In addition, winter lake landscape was so beautifully, 'Areno' became very precious film for me. Specially, my favorite actor Satoru Kawaguchi, who played so difficult role - Unknown whether he is dead or alive - made me feel brand new. In 16mm film, he made me know about true love, I became more and more addicted to him. For this reason, 'Areno' was so lovely film.
