Unlike the rest of the characters, the full name of Guido remains unknown. Yet a name plate reveals it starts with "Stürm...". Most likely, Guido is a mimic on FCB club official and former forward Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, wearing prominently two wrist watches. In 2013, Rummenigge tried to import two luxury watches on arrival from Qatar without declaring to the customs (and was caught). Rumors say he received these from Qatar officials when Qatar was applying for holding the football WM 2022. In the movie, Guido is called "Uhrensohn, arabischer" or arabic son of a watch, resembling the German word for son of a bitch.
The Bavarian football clubs being referenced are FC Bayern Munich ("FC Rot-Weiss Oberbayern") or FCB and TSV 1860 Munich ("TSV Weiss-Blau München"). Throughout the movie, several Bavaria Munich club celebrities are being spoofed.
Gerd Bomber, a mimic on FCB club legend Gerd Mueller, runs a steak house in Vancouver. Gerd Mueller indeed ran a steak house before Hoeness fetched him, but that was in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
Besides the acting characters, the movie references a number of real-life people in a satirical manner: "Murkel" (Federal Chancellor Merkel), "Dr. Müller-Wohlrabe" (FCB team medic Dr. Mueller-Wohlfahrt), "Pepe" (FCB Head coach Pep Guardiola) and finally, "Helmut Mehrwert vom Lokus" (Chief editor Helmut Markwort from German news magazine Focus) where in Germany, Lokus is commonly used for toilet.
