Review by Stephen Tronicek
Kill Ratio is a poorly conceived Die Hard power fantasy that at moments finds itself looking fine, and being hilariously ridiculous. Seriously, if you want to see a Russian coup happen in a hotel that ends with an unbelievably apathetic hero fighting an old man with a sword, well then this movie is in fact for you, but Kill Ratio is too bland to be for anyone else.
Have you heard this story? A violent series of events has put a president (oddly not American in how nationalistic this movie is) in danger and it’s up to one man to fight his way through a couple of armed violent henchmen to save the president. So it’s Die Hard, Olympus Has Fallen, and White House Down, and it’s nowhere near as entertaining as two of those happen to be.
The problem is mainly with the protagonist,...

Dedicated military officers are known for being willing to put their lives at risk in order to defend their ideals and the safety of their country. The intense dedication the soldiers willingly take on in order to complete their missions becomes even more extreme when their enemy is determined to put them in endanger. That fight between adversaries is compellingly showcased in the upcoming action film, ‘Kill Ratio.’ In honor of the movie being released by XLrator Media, Shockya is premiering an exclusive new clip. XLrator Media is set to distribute ‘Kill Ratio’ in theaters on December 9, before also releasing it on VOD and iTunes on December 13. The [ Read More ]

The new action film “Kill Ratio” follows American covert operative James Henderson (Tom Hopper) who is on a business conference with his inexperienced colleague, Gabrielle (Amy Huberman) to bring capitalism to a newly democratized Eastern European republic. But soon the city is rocked by explosions and gunfire and it’s up to James and Gabrielle to hide president Tania Petrenko (Lacy Moore) from Colonel Lazar (Nick Dunning), an old guard military man and leader of a coup. James eventually realizes he and Lazar will have to battle it out for justice and supremacy. Watch an exclusive clip from the film below.

"You are witnessing history today." XLrator Media has debuted a trailer for an indie action movie titled Kill Ratio, which looks like another formulaic action flick. The plot involves an American covert operative who becomes the one man who can save an entire country when a "ruthless military leader" attempts a coup. Tom Hopper (from "Black Sails", "Merlin" and Knights of Badassdom) stars, with Lacy Moore, Amy Huberman, Nick Dunning, Conor Hegarty, Brian McGuinness and Michelle Lehane. This looks particularly cheesy, especially considering it's another action movie that takes place inside of one building. The sword fight at the end nearly made me roll my eyes. I'm not expecting much from this, but who knows. Here's the first official trailer (+ poster) for Paul Tanter's Kill Ratio, direct from YouTube: An attack on the new President of a fledgling Eastern European democracy pits an American covert operative (Tom Hopper) against...

With the release of Paul Tanter's action flick Kill Ratio looming over us it is time to share an exclusive clip with you from the flick. In it, our hero, James Henderson, is engaged in a fierce fire fight with some militants while Tania gives a stirring speech during a live broadcast. Usually those kind of speeches usually take place in the third act so let us assume that Henderson has been killing lots of bad guys up to this point. Let's have some fun with this clip, shall we? I understand you have a budget and taking your cue from the RocketJump school of filmmaking (seriously no slight against those guys, they're awesome) you have used your after effects to digitally add muzzle flashes...

Exclusive: La production outfit takes rights to Iraq war story.
Fledgling La-based film and TV production outfit Benattar/Thomas Productions, headed by UK executive Nigel Thomas (Killing Bono) and Us producer Rick Benattar (Ironclad), has bought rights to Iraq war book Sniper One.
The producers are aiming to move the film into production in 2016.
Written by former British soldier Sgt. Dan Mills, the account tells the true story of a British sniper unit sent into Iraq only to find themselves engaged in a full scale combat operation against overwhelming odds.
