'Gwilliam (2015)' is a short film that seems to exist purely to shock and disgust, likely in the name of dark comedy. It isn't particularly funny, but it's the kind of thing that's so weird you can't help but either laugh or cry when you see it (and laughing is much more fun). It's bemusing in its own gross way, but it's so abrasively off-putting that I can't say I liked it. Of course, abrasively off-putting is exactly what it's intended to be, so in that regard it's an undeniable success. It's hard to say whether this is good because it achieves what it sets out to, or bad because watching it is simply a terrible time. It's exactly what it wants to be, but what it wants to be isn't really something worth celebrating. It's good enough for what it is, I suppose, but it's definitely rough around the edges and there's very little to it (if anything) besides pure shock value. Watch at your own risk.

It's definitely different!

An old ex-con recently released from prison is having a hard time getting back into the swing of things and after failing to pick up a prostitute he is pounced on and given oral pleasure by a creepy goblin that jumps out of a garbage can and forces itself on him in a scene that is disgustingly intimate and graphic and oh my god what a crazy little short! What's the point though really, that some people will call a literal monster if they're desperate enough for a little fun? Not really my type of short but it's a real piece of work alright.. It's gleefully gross, offensive, grimy, it's Gwilliam! 😬
so...bizarre

An ex-con. A bar. A refuse. And, from garbage, the ideal solution. It is difficult to say if you like or you are embarassed. Because the film is ...precise. Gives the exactly story. And nothing more. A man and the solution to his frustration. And a character who reminds porno movies but, in same measure, the strange creatures of dark fairy tales. It could be an eccentic experiment or a sort of comedy. In essence, it is not important its deffinition. But , maybe, the bizarre story. And its end.
