Submerged in Pain
Hitchcoc21 March 2023
A couple of teenaged jerks on skateboards are the cause of horrendous pain here. It's much more intense than any of the episodes I've seen. First, they kill a guy and then booby trap his body with a pipe bomb. Aubrey manages to get Hodgins away from the exploding mess and is injured himself. There are also four cops dead which makes this a devastating event. But the tentacles of their actions reach even farther as we have gotten to know the people here. Since the death of Sweets, we've not seen such pain as happens at the end of the episode. We are all about futures and the future has been skewed in the wrong direction. Aristoo comes back, hoping to reconnect with Cam but that seems like a small thing now. I'll be interested to see how things proceed.

Wow what an episode
briezey17 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I didn't know whether to give this episode a 1 or a 10 because I am just so mad and confused!! I was thinking that this episode was a clear 10/10. I mean we had an interesting case right off the bat with the bomb in the body cavity. Then we got to see Aubrey save Hodgins' life,Arastoo came back, Angela and Hodgins we're gonna have another kid. Then bam Hodgins is freaking paralyzed?!? Just like that?? Where did that even come from? How DARE the writers even think to mess with our guy Hodgins. I mean first we lose Sweets and now Hodgins is paralyzed? I don't even know what to think about this.

Ok ok ok, now that I got that off my chest let's dive into the episode a bit.

Aubrey pulling Hodgins away from the bomb and then jumping on top of him shows that I have been right about Aubrey this whole time, he is just a really great guy that will do anything to protect the people around him. This is seen even more when he left the hospital to go on air saying that a little shrapnel wasn't going to stop him.

I was so happy to see that Arastoo was back. Ugh the moment between him and Cam when she said "I didn't know you were back in town" and he said "I wasn't but I came as quickly as I could" like wow that's true love right there. Then Brennan calls him a consultant not intern, it was just really sweet. We also got that increidble moment at the end where he said he would make cheese sandwiches for minimum wage if it meant coming home to her, so adorable.

I am really glad that we also got Caroline in this episode. I was laughing when she interrupted the moment with Booth and Brennan and they said "can we have a minute?" And she said "sure but some other time" that was gold! Then right at the end when she said she didn't want to know the killers name because she didn't want to give them the fame they were seeking, i totally respected that moment.

Okay, this episode was really good, even if they did that to Hodgins. I was waiting on the edge of my seat to know what was going to happen at every turn which is why this is a 10/10.

Best part: the romance between Cam and Arastoo

Worst part: their treatment of Hodgins (see paragraph one)

I never understood why Brennan didn't tell Hodgins not to take aspirin
letiamj-950884 November 2020
Warning: Spoilers
There were 3 doctors present (including by Hodgins) when Hodgins came out the ER and said his pain was nothing that some aspirin could not fix. None of them did not think to say, don't take the aspirin. Any other episode, Brennan would have all the answers and know more the hospital / medical doctor and being giving one of her team members advice (e.g. Booth with his back, Wendell with his arm, etc)

For such an erudite bunch of prima donnas one might expect better grammar ...the past tense of sneak is sneaked ... try it you'll love it ... agent aubrey has well placed himself in the fbi hall of fame ...and he didn't sneak in there...seriously, the writers and dialogue coaches need to fix the past tense of sneak to sneaked or just turn over the script to actual english apeaking artisans
