Learn more- This episode starts with Tom giving Max the family hard line about being a King. Max is obviously upset about what he has done but Tom doesn't give a care if it helps the family out. After this little talk, Max is forced to put the second part of the plan into action. He offers to go to see Craig and Sandra on behalf of Paddy as Paddy can't face them. Max tells the couple that they should think about destroying the livestock that will never fully recover as they will never regain their market price and so are useless to the farm). He also tells them that the surgery is going to accept full responsibility for the error made and that this should help with their insurance claim. After all of this he casually slips in that, in the meantime, if they're hard-up for cash they could always sell one of their fields to his Tom. Craig smells a rat and later on he and Sandra go to the vets to speak to Max. They accuse him of poisoning the cattle on purpose. At first he denies it but when Craig gets awkward Max shows his King family side and insists they have no choice but to sell the field. Zoe is eager for the sale of Home Farm to go through quickly as she needs the cash in case the police freeze her assets when they realise she has run off. She calls in to see Rodney to see how things are progressing and insists that they must exchange contracts before the trial, if he can't raise the cash he must let her know asap. Jack catches Zoe as she is leaving Mill Cottage. He confronts her about selling up without even telling them because he's worried about Andy getting a new landlord. Zoe hasn't time for this and just drives off. Later on she goes to Annie's Cottage to apologise and tries to explain the situation to Jack as best she can. Callum goes off to Liverpool to tell John about Zoe's change to the plans. When he returns, he almost catches Effie making a suspicious phone call. It is becoming more and more apparent that Aubrey the estate agent fancies Paul. After unnecessarily returning to Mill Cottage to measure up, he then makes an appearance at the Woolpack. Likewise, Rodney has an admirer in Delphine. They have dinner at the Woolpack and she makes Rodney feel uncomfortable with her very forward behaviour. Betty bets Val £20 that Zoe will be found not guilty at the trail. Jo's new bike breaks down and Len offers to fix it.
