Not much of a favorite song or clip of mine but gotta recognize its importance in musical/clip history back in the 1980's. The first single released from the smash hit album "Faith" (1987), the song had its relative success, was part of the "Beverly Hills Cop 2" soundtrack (Michael won a Razzie for it, as Worst Original Song) while the video hold a certain impact on MTV viewers, with a slight controversial appeal due to its sexual nature.
Content: George Michael performs the song, most of the time it's a full close-up to his face, showing an appealing and powerful sexiness along with images of then-girlfriend Kathy Jeung and another girl dancing or moving in bed, making us curious about everything she's doing. Sex innuendos all around, it sells greatly and without excessive exposure. All very tempting though not much memorable. And the music has a nice groove to it, it's kind of catchy and topped plenty of charts around the world, usually on the top 10 in several places. In terms of the controversy around it, I find it quite tame compared to what was presented in many other clips from the era or not; it also lacks in movement, it's too ecstatic and some slow-motion bits don't carry any positive effect.
Minor clip helped by its song. A nice watch. 6/10
