"Spice Girls: Viva Forever" is the 4-minute video for the Spice Girls song "Viva Forever". Sadly the title is not very true here as Geri left the band not much later. But back to this one here. We see the Spice Girls as animated fairy characters and they do look a bit scary, even if they are not supposed to I guess, but this is just a minor criticism and there is not only nothing wrong with this music video, but it's all very right. The girl they picked for the main character was perfect for the role. The song fits the whole fairy-tale atmosphere and all the magic extremely well. I must say that, even if realists may argue this was not a happy ending, I am somewhat happy with how things went for the girl here. And even if you look completely away from the story, then this is already highly worth seeing for all the great atmospheric touch and also for the song of course. It is another example, another piece of evidence of how the Spice Girls were at their very best when they brought us ballads and slow songs. This did not really define their career, but in my opinion it is where they excelled the most. You can already see from my rating that I was highly impressed by this beautiful piece of art.
