The camera "roll" performed during the final fight was done completely by hand.
Noel Baterna, who plays Kang in the film, is also the fight choreographer.
The three main actors, Noel Baterna, Trevor DiMartino, and Rebecca Raab, as well as Jon Torre (who plays Yu's Father) are all students at a Kung Fu school. West Gate Kung Fu is located in Boulder and is owned and operated by Adam Reed, who performs the dragon-themed form during the opening credits sequence.
During principle photography the actors usually said random things or mocked the lines they knew would be dubbed over them later. For example, when Yu is explaining to Master Li that she needs his help in the film, on set Rebecca Raab was actually complaining about the cold weather.
