"Dragonheart 4: Dragonborn" was the working title.
Sir Patrick Stewart was technically the first to voice Draco in DragonHeart (1996) since he performed the voice in the test footage for DragonHeart (1996) using an animatronic puppet head made by Jim Henson Studios.
With Sir Patrick Stewart voicing Drago in this film after Sir Ben Kingsley did in the previous one, Drago is the first and only dragon with multiple voice actors in the series.
This film makes Drago the first dragon in the Dragonheart franchise to return in a sequel and age between films.
