One of Dana's better lesbian dramas
lor_22 April 2016
I've been watching a great deal of Dana Vespoli videos of late -she emerges as a renaissance person (archaic to say "man" or for that matter "woman") in Adult Cinema. Her somewhat schizo career of alternating avant garde gonzo ("Fluid" and other extreme work for Evil Angel) with romantic porn (Sweetheart releases) is fascinating, as this mature 12th volume in the older/younger series illustrates.

The four sex vignettes are artfully integrated with loosely connected characters, including the director herself. She plays an art gallery owner, whose daughter Sara Luvv closes out the show with a semi-satirical, but all-arousing sex bout with haughty modern artist Nina Elle.

Vespoli's dry sense of humor is given a good workout here, as she delivers a priceless comic finish (delivered by Nina) to her otherwise sensual feature.

Earlier on Sara is jealous of a sort of exchange student from Poland played by the uninhibited Misha Cross, who seems to be favored in ma Vespoli's eyes. Driving the girl to the airport for her trip home, Dana stages a very ambitious sex sequence inside their car -shot by her teammates James Avalon and Matt Holder from necessity-made-weird angles - a technical tour-de-force. She also had a sex-in- the-car sequence in her recent "Dana DeArmond Loves Girls" opus, not as successful as this one.

Vespoli's BFF is author Alana Evans, who provides some satire in the manner of Vespoli's effective recent "Lesbian Stepmother" saga and its infra dig Hollywood references. Clearly spoofing hit authors like Stephenie Meyer, Evans is famous for her unexpected hit tweens' series of "The Midnight" books about young female vampires. Her reclusive daughter Bree Daniels' friend from school, Adriana Chechik, stops by the house to get Evans' autograph, and this being lesbian porn, she gets a whole lot more. Only surprise is that Chechik refrains from squirting this time out, a habit she has overdone in other recent videos.

Ma Alana sends daughter Bree to a "healer", a hippie-dippy practitioner to help the troubled teen. Ava Addams, in a welcome acting role to break the tedium of her unfortunate recent gonzo career choices, is wonderful as the mystic who senses the kid's "blocked energy". Her laying on of hands does the trick, as soon Bree takes charge and is the dominant one in the Sapphic love-making session. Skin- tone contrast of pale wall-flower Bree vs. heavily tanned Ava is helpful in putting this May-December sexual therapy into the plus-column, taking Bree "to her happy place".

Sum takeaway is that Dana can create stimulating Adult Entertainment without having to resort to the extremes John Stagliano's label encourages. For balance, I'll be watching her far-removed "My Evil Stepmom F*cked My Ass" series from Buttman's Evil Angel company.
