Welcome to this review of this past Monday’s episode of WWE Raw, right here on Nerdly… Let’s see what went down on this week’s show!
Match #1: Damian Priest def. Shinsuke Nakamura The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Competing in first match as Mr. Money in the Bank, Damian Priest took on fellow Money in the Bank competitor Shinsuke Nakamura. The action spilled to the outside as Priest dumped Nakamura onto the barricade. Conspicuous by his absence was Finn Bálor as the rest of The Judgment Day were at ringside. Nakamura locked in an armbar to try to submit Priest. As Nakamura went for the Kinshasa, Priest evaded, hitting a gnarly clothesline followed by South of Heaven to lock up his first win as Mr. Money in the Bank.
My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: Women’s Tag Team Titles No. 1 Contenders’ Gauntlet Match – Winners: Chelsea Green...

Welcome to this review of WWE’s 2023 Money in the Bank pay per view, which kicked off with the titular match – at least the men’s version of the event… so let’s get into it!
Match #1: Men’s Money in the Bank – Damian Priest def. Logan Paul, Shinsuke Nakamura, Ricochet, Santos Escobar, Butch and LA Knight The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The Judgment Day’s reign of terror just became even more dangerous as Damian Priest scaled the ladder to become Señor Money in the Bank, guaranteeing himself a future championship match whenever he chooses. The action was chaotic as every Superstar battled for themselves, but not before they teamed up to teach Logan Paul a quick lesson in respect. With ladders and tables strategically placed throughout the ring and ringside area, the carnage was taken to a whole new level when Ricochet hit a Spanish...

Welcome to this review of this past Friday’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown, right here on Nerdly. This week’s show emanated from the O2 Arena in London, so let’s see what went down on this international episode!
Match #1: Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship – Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn def. Pretty Deadly The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
In front of a sold out O2 Arena in London, Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn took on Pretty Deadly in Pretty Deadly’s neck of the woods. Ko was a house on fire, plowing through Elton Prince and Kit Wilson at ringside with clotheslines before bringing Prince into the ring to hit a huge cannonball. However, the move cost Owens, as he appeared to hold his left ankle. Pretty Deadly immediately attacked the injured ankle, nearly becoming new champs after an assisted codebreaker. Zayn...

Carmella is a force to be reckoned with! In this preview from Wednesday's new Total Divas, fans get to know Carmella, one of the show's newest cast members. "My name is Carmella and I'm the moonwalking, trash-talking princess of Staten Island," Carmella says. "I come from a big Italian family and I grew up around wrestling. My dad was a wrestler for the WWE in the early '90s but he didn't quite make it. I just really love performing, I was a dancer since I was three years old. I was in Nxt for about a little over two years and then I was drafted to SmackDown Live and now I can say I'm the first-ever Miss Money in the Bank." Impressive, no?!

Seth Rollins is one of the biggest WWE Superstars today. A two-time world champion, he’s headlined countless Pay-Per-Views and is responsible for one of the most memorable WrestleMania moments of all-time when he cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase on Brock Lesnar. He’s also the cover star of the upcoming WWE 2K18 video game and is now set to take on his first major big screen role in WWE Studios’ upcoming Armed Response.
In the movie, a team of special forces soldiers approach the designer of a high-tech military compound to investigate the disappearance of another team guarding the facility. The compound, known professionally as a Temple, is an artificial intelligence powered facility designed for interrogating high-level prisoners. Upon entering the Temple, the soldiers find the team horrifically slaughtered but no evidence as to who is responsible.
Almost immediately, the crew begins to...

Carmella says it’s a great time for women in the WWE. Things are going well for the WWE Superstar, member of the “SmackDown” roster and winner of the inaugural women’s Money in the Bank ladder match. On Monday, the 29-year-old pro wrestler was named as one of the new cast members of “Total Divas,” joining the Bella Twins, Natalya, Naomi, Lana and Maryse on the hit E! reality series. (Nia Jax and Alexa Bliss are also joining the show for Season 7.) TheWrap talked with Carmella — who was a dancer for the New England Patriots and L.A. Lakers before signing with.

Meninist: A (satirical) belief showing the hypocrisy of first world feminism by flipping the sexes and complaining about men’s rights in a similar way to what first world feminists do.
Tip of the hat to ComicMix’s Adriane Nash for introducing me to the term via her always well-observed, vitriolic Facebook posts where she often denotes an active war being fought against stupidity – not just against meninists, but idiots from all genders and persuasions. And a polite nod to my comic book compatriot Danny Limor for the inspiration this week.
Is there something in the water these days? With DC finally enjoying both fan praise and box office dollars with the release of Wonder Woman, there’s been a definitive rise in the empowerment of women – if not in actual practice certainly at least via mentions and discussions on all the social feeds I frequent. And everyone is rightfully...

Netflix’s “Glow” arrives at a time when women who step inside the squared circle are taken much more seriously than they were 30 years ago.
The show re-creates the world of the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling, the campy all-female promotion whose 1980s heyday is fictionalized in the new series starring Alison Brie. Fittingly, its subject helped start that process three decades ago.
Last weekend’s Money in the Bank pay-per-view was emblematic of the current state of women’s wrestling in WWE, both in terms of how far it’s come and how much further it still has to go. On the one hand, it featured the first-ever women’s Money in the Bank ladder match (progress!), which guarantees the winner a championship match at the time of her choosing. On the other hand, it ended when a dude named James Ellsworth ascended the ladder and dropped the briefcase down...

Daniel Bryan wants you to know that he had nothing to do with the finish of Sunday’s first-ever women’s “Money in the Bank” Ladder Match — so the perturbed WWE Universe can stop tweeting him now. After all, the father of an almost five-week-old daughter and husband of fellow pro-wrestler Brie Bella was still out on paternity leave last night. Plus, according to the former WWE Champion and current “SmackDown Live” general manager, Bryan has “no creative influence whatsoever within the show,” he told TheWrap on Monday. “I’m not a decision maker.” Before we get back to Bryan,...
