Trying to find a pattern in the chaos. I found something that was missed by the original investigators..." Netflix has revealed an official trailer for yet another unsettling true crime documentary film called Lover, Stalker, Killer, streaming in February on Netflix. This feature doc from Curious Films (Running with the Devil) and director Sam Hobkinson, deftly assembles the pieces of a mind-bending true tale of harassment, digital deception, and murder in America’s heartland. Lover, Stalker, Killer tells the twisted tale of a modern-day love triangle gone murderously wrong. Following up other docs like The Tinder Swindler, this one examines how Nebraska auto mechanic Dave Kroupa's 2012 attempt to get into the online dating put him in a digital love triangle that ended in murder. This looks crazy! I don't like the way they over-stylize this incident and add all the dramatic music, but it still seems like a fascinating...

A big moment in Van Halen history took place Saturday night when Sammy Hagar added “Running With the Devil” and “Ain’t Talkin’ ‘Bout Love” into the set during his Sammy Hagar and Friends residency at the Strat Theater in Las Vegas. He sang both those songs quite a few times during his tenure in Van Halen, but this was the first time he featured any David Lee Roth-era tunes at his solo gigs.

A retired Navy Seal who for a time was a military advisor on the Colombian drug trade, Jason Cabell conceived his first solo feature as writer-director to tell the story of that particular commerce “from the point of view of the drugs.” The result isn’t exactly a docudrama indictment like “Traffic,” a thriller a la “Sicario,” a plea for innocent victims, or a Tarantino-esque bloody crime comedy. Rather, “Running With the Devil” is all the above, confidently blending together many narrative and tonal elements into a surprisingly cohesive whole.

Nicolas Cage and Laurence Fishburne are starring in a movie together called Running With The Devil and it’s a drug trafficking crime thriller. It’s actually pretty cool to see Cage and Fishburne star together in a movie and I hope the movie is worthy of their talent.
The film comes from director Jason Cabell (Smoke Filled Lungs) and it also has a solid supporting cast that includes Barry Pepper, Adam Goldberg, Leslie Bibb, Clifton Collins Jr., Peter Facinelli, Christian Tappan, Natalia Reyes, and Cole Hauser.
This is the synopsis that was released for the movie:
When a cocaine shipment is compromised to the dismay of a drug cartel's CEO, known simply as The Boss, he orders his most trusted henchman, The Cook, and his partner, another master drug trafficker known as The Man, on a dangerous journey to audit the company’s supply chain. As the drugs make...

Drug cartel bosses getting double-crossed somewhere along the supply chain. We all know exactly how this plays out but what makes Running with the Devil interesting is not the plotting but pretty much everything else.
To begin with, there's the cast which includes Barry Pepper as "The Boss," Nicholas Cage as "The Cook," the boss' right hand man sent in to figure out who is messing with the supply chain, Laurence Fishburne as his partner in crime "The Man," Clifton Collins Jr. as "The Farmer" - I bet you can see where this story is going just from the character names. Along with them, the movie also stars Peter Facinelli, Cole Hauser, Leslie Bibb, Adam Goldberg, and Natalia Reyes.

"This is your territory, it's your responsibility. So fix it." We've been posting trailers recently with Laurence Fishburne, and others with Nicolas Cage - but how about a movie with both Fishburne and Cage together?! Quiver Distribution has unveiled the trailer for the crime thriller Running with the Devil, a drug drama from director Jason Cabell (Smoke Filled Lungs). The CEO of an "international conglomerate" sends two of his most regarded executives to investigate why recent shipments of cocaine are being hijacked and over cut somewhere on the supply chain. The major cast includes Barry Pepper, Adam Goldberg, Leslie Bibb, Clifton Collins Jr., Peter Facinelli, Christian Tappan, Natalia Reyes, and Cole Hauser. Despite having a great cast, it looks like yet another forgettable drug thriller. Tastes Like Heaven, Burns Like Hell. Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for Jason Cabell's Running with the Devil, direct from YouTube: When a cocaine...

A new Nicolas Cage film seems to come out almost on a monthly basis, at this point. But somehow, even with that frequency, each of Cage’s films is unique in some way. The man definitely knows how to add some variety to his filmography. And that continues in the upcoming film “Running with the Devil.”
As seen in the trailer, “Running with the Devil” tells the story of two men, who work for a drug cartel, as they have to travel to another country (presumably in South America) to seemingly audit the creation of the drug.

Nicolas Cage is coming up on 100 feature film credits. Here's the trailer for Running With the Devil.
Everyone's talking about Nicolas Cage at the moment. Not that he's ever far from the public consciousness, but the iconic actor just did an absolutely sublime interview with The New York Times which, if you haven't had chance to read it yet, is well worth your time.
It's very much one of those interviews where it's extremely tough to cherry-pick a favorite quote, but we're a bit fond of this one, which we've taken completely out of context here:
"If you go to Glastonbury and go to the Chalice Well, there’s a spring that does taste like blood. I guess it’s really because there’s a lot of iron in the water. But legend had it that in that place was a grail chalice, or two cruets rather,...

Organizers of the American Film Market are limiting access at the headquarters Loews Hotel to the official Afm participants, Variety has leaned.
When the 39th Afm starts on Oct. 31, admittance to the Loews will be strictly limited to those with credentials. In the past, attendees coming into the hotel lobby in Santa Monica, Calif., have been forced to deal with a wide variety of unsolicited pitches from unofficial sources.
In earlier years of the film market, sales agents and producers having business meetings in the lobby bar were infamously beseiged by uncredentialed wannabes flogging scripts or seeking acting roles.
Jonathan Wolf, who is starting his third decade as Afm managing director, told Variety that the move is in response to attendees’ concerns. “The lobby of the Loews should be the epicenter of the Afm but nobody wanted to be in the lobby,” he added.

Known for his roles as vampiric doctor Carlisle Cullen in the “Twilight” film series and the audaciously vain yet endlessly insecure Dr. Fitch Cooper on the tightly wound mid-aughts HBO series “Nurse Jackie,” versatile actor Peter Facinelli set his home in the Toluca Lake area of Los Angeles, Calif., out for sale at $2.695 million. Facinelli, who’s recently done short stints on “Supergirl” and “S.W.A.T.” and will soon appear on the silver screen in the upcoming, Nicolas Cage-starring drug trade thriller “Running With the Devil,” purchased the then brand-new two-story house in August of 2013 — shortly after his divorce from “Beverly Hills, 90210” star Jennie Garth — for $2.015 million, a small but notable bit above it’s $1.995 million asking price. Privately positioned behind a thick hedge and an electronic driveway gate on an unassumingly upscale street, the vaguely Cape Cod-style residence has five bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms in 3,854-square-feet.
