Warning: Spoilers
Is there "racial stereotyping" in TV dramas? Just because a show is a Netflix streaming special, does it get less attention than a network show? This episode is one of the most powerful I have ever seen from any series anywhere, anytime.

I want to be clear because we all know that an IMBb review is forever and will outlive anyone currently alive on the planet when the episode aired.

The writers did something amazing. They spent the first 30 minutes weaving together the personal lives and problems of the "travelers" to the point that, if you had a short attention span, you might almost have gotten bored.

Then they did a "reversal." They tied all the loose bits into one clear and riveting arc involving the ever-reliable McCormack and had him accept a "mystery mission" on a plane, not knowing (a) the plane would crash (b) he had to save the passenger next to him and (c) his wife had been goaded to jealousy earlier in the episode and had become a non-manifested passenger in the plane (according to the Future records) and was about to die in the crash. All because she loved him.

At the last minute, McCormack's character pulls a "Sydney Carton" from a Tale of Two Cities and seems ready to sacrifice himself to save a wife who is not actually his wife. This drama in turn is set off against the other arcs from the first 30 minutes (also themed to LOVE) where you have a wife abuser who is in denial, and a relationship between two people where one announces to the other that she has a fatal illness and not much time left to live.

In short, one of the most interesting and compelling scripts I have ever seen.

Easily in my top 10 favorite episodes of TV ever

Warning: Spoilers
... and that's saying a LOT as I watch WAYYY too much TV. Very vague spoilers ahead.

Like all the best episodes of Travelers, this episode keeps you guessing until the end with one great twist after another. For the first half you're asking yourself - what's in the mysterious package?? For the second half you're screaming at the TV with the knowledge of what's in the mysterious package.

It's gripping, heart rending television once you realize what the stakes actually are, and the characters make their desperation clear and palpable. The ever nebulous agenda of the powers-that-be yanking the strings of our heroes just adds more layers of intrigue when you're grappling with the question of "obey blindly for the greater good?" or "save your friends!". When the antagonist is supposedly an all knowing entity from the other end of time what good could possibly come from disobeying the mission?

Again, some of the best TV around - it is an absolute crime more people aren't watching this show.

[8.5] Peace and jealousy

Episode 9: Easily one of the best episodes of the season, if not the best. It's got momentum, "leaders", thrill, spiced with good acting and a fitting score.

Everything is smoother than the previous episodes and that speaks length by itself.

What bothers me
mofomoney14 September 2022
What bothers me about not only this episode but all others that has anything to do with the historians drug problem is the fact that drug addiction has so much more to do with a persons psychological state. This show makes it seem that it is only a chemical problem, as if, as they portray, a new mind in a drug addicted body will inherit everything to do with that drug addiction. This can not be farther from the truth. They should have done more research on why people become addicted to drugs before betraying it the way they did.

They could have turned this show into a learning experience on what drug addiction is, as it stands, it is more than just misleading, it is part of the problem.

Warning: Spoilers
What a garbage!

1) There is only 1 crew member on the plane? 1? Seriously? There are crew members as much as the exit doors! And it's the minimum number. You can't fly if the crew number is fewer than that. It's an international rule!

2) There are spesific places crew members have to sit. They can't just sit on a passenger seat!

3) There are no crew members sitting on the back galley! WTF?

4) There is only 1 pilot in the deck? There have be 2 pilots in the deck: Commander & F.O.

5) Some random guy who has never beein in a plane before knows everything and everywhere in the plane?

6) There is lack of oxygen and oxygen masks are on and that random guy and his mates just walk easily WITHOUT MASKS? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

It was a horrible episode!
