If you ever wanted to see how NOT to make a documentary, look no further. Rather than going for a voice over on top of pictures and footage, you get to watch Damian Chapa read cue cards just off camera in the most messed up eyeline possible. You get to see all the wonderful dialogue cuts since he stays on screen rather than cutting away. Part of me wonders if he doesn't know how to edit or maybe he accidentally layered his footage incorrectly. This is someone who obviously loves himself. This is more about Damian Chapa than Blood In Blood Out. Prepare to be disappointed.
