Do you get the feeling this small town dentist likes Star Wars? What he lacks in acting skills he at least makes up for in visuals. The commercial isn’t horrible but it is a little campy. Give the guy credit though because the editing is pretty good and makes it all flow together for the most part. But as a Star Wars fan I kind of had to close my eyes for part of this as I held back a laugh. Ah well, like I said, it’s not a bad commercial. The main gist of it though is that laser

For those worried that the events of the Season 2 finale would have Elliot (Rami Malek) knocked out of commission, never fear. When Season 3 returns this October, the erstwhile hacker will be neck deep in the chaos of creator Sam Esmail’s Emmy-nominated drama, as we see in the new trailer released today by USA Network.
Not only that, but his secret — that within his brain lurks the scheming Mr. Robot (Christian Slater) — may no longer be as secret as it once was. Not that that’s the biggest problem he’s facing, given that the world economy is falling apart and people are protesting evil corporation E Corp in the streets. Time for Elliot to zip up that hoodie and try to change the world.

The scene that changed cinema forever is getting the ultimate honor: A film devoted entirely to its brilliance. “78/52,” a documentary about Janet Leigh’s infamous shower scene in Alfred Hitchcock’s “Psycho,” takes its opaque title from the number of shots and cuts in the three minute sequence (78 camera set-ups, 52 edits). Directed by Alexandre O. Philippe, the film features interviews with the crème de la crème of cinephiles: Jamie Lee Curtis, Guillermo del Toro, Elijah Wood, Danny Elfman, Bret Easton Ellis, Peter Bogdanovich, Karyn Kusama, and more lend their insights into the scene’s lasting legacy.
“78/52” was regarded warmly by critics following its Sundance premiere, and recently released a trailer in anticipation of its theatrical run. The trailer opens with Hitchcock’s unmistakable baritone in voiceover: “I once made a movie. It was intended to cause people to scream and yell, but I was horrified that some people took it seriously.

“White Famous” is loosely based on the career of Jamie Foxx, but it might also apply to the path taken by its star, Jay Pharoah. Pharoah, who was lauded as a superstar in the making when he joined “Saturday Night Live” in 2010, was instead surprisingly cut from the show in 2016.
Pharoah is known for his spot-on impersonations of celebrities like Jay-z and Denzel Washington. But ultimately he felt underutilized by the show. “You go where you’re appreciated,” he told a radio station earlier this year. “They put people into boxes and whatever they want you to do, they expect you to do. And I’m fiery. I’m not a yes n—-.”
In “White Famous,” Pharoah’s character, young comedian Floyd Mooney, must navigate similar tricky situations – while staying true to himself and his credibility – as he strives for a career that makes him, in the words of...

Making the headlines in 1938
What would you do if you thought aliens were landing near your home, your neighbours shared your concerns and you had no convenient means of summoning outside help? On the 30th of October, 1938, that's exactly what some Americans went through due to confusion over Orson Welles' radio adaptation of Hg Wells' science fiction classic War Of The Worlds. Brave New Jersey is a new film from director Jody Lambert which explores the reactions of people in a small town on that strangest of nights.
Although it's played as a comedy, Brave New Jersey never mocks its characters or treats them as stupid. I congratulated Jody on the dignity he managed to give them.

Characters in horror films would be well advised to heed a couple of simple rules: Repressed memories should by all means stay repressed. And whatever you do, avoid walking through mazes.
Unfortunately, such advice would be lost on Jane (Abbie Cornish), the heroine of Lavender, the latest effort by director Ed Gass-Donnelly (Small Town Murder, The Last Exorcism: Part II). A photographer who specializes in shooting rundown, abandoned farmhouses (not hard to see where this is going), Jane finds her life upended after a serious auto accident that leaves her with memory loss.

Sturgill Simpson won best country album at the 59th annual Grammy Award for A Sailor’s Guide to Earth. The award was given out before the televised ceremony aired on CBS.
Simpson first broke out in 2014 with his trippy, psych-country Metamodern Sounds in Country Music. Thematically, his attention was equally widespread: The set ruminated on the origins of the universe, the meaning of life, and how to best endure the gloom and doom of the here and now. Last year, with his stunning third LP — his first on a major label and the first he produced on his own — the 37-year-old narrowed his gaze.

Park City – Small town underdog looking to make it in the music business isn’t exactly the most original idea for a movie. And throwing in a hip-hop angle is familiar territory even at Sundance (see 2005’s “Hustle & Flow”). It’s a huge credit to writer and director Geremy Jasper then that “Patti Cake$,” which debuted at the 2017 edition of the festival on Monday, breaks through that familiar convention with flying colors.

Justin Moore‘s “Home Sweet Home” is growing by one more.
The country artist, 32, and his wife Kate are expecting their fourth child together, Moore announced on Facebook.
“Kate and I would like to let all of you know that we will be adding to our family, once again. No more dogs, thankfully! Haha,” he wrote, captioning a concert photo. “We are thrilled to announce that we will be having our fourth child in June.”
