Better than I expected
masonfewel21 May 2021
I thought this would just be another one of your everyday moe blobs, but I was surprised to find there is actually some depth to it. The first season was just a really funny, interesting story about game designers, but then the second season actually almost moved me to tears. It's not sad, so don't worry about that, but it's just really nice. I grew to love these characters so much over the course of only 2 seasons. I HIGHLY recommend this anime if you like moe or slice of life, this is definitely better than average. It should have a higher score than it does as well. And I'm not a game designer, so I don't know much about it, but the workflow seemed realistic to me, and they didn't just skip past issues like overworking. Overall, this is just a really nice, funny, pleasant, and surprisingly moving show.

Light but Enjoyable

Warning: Spoilers
Not much of a headline I know but I don't really know how else to put it. I got vibes of it that reminded me of Cheers. The series so far is simple day to day stuff that happens behind the scenes at a gaming company Eagle Jump. From the first episode I was hooked. It's not going overboard. Every character is unique and it is quite funny without forcing itself. As I said before, nothing bizarre happens. No explosions, no deaths or anything like that so far (I've gotten up to season 2 episode 4 by this point) but the series still finds a way to get us wanting more. Aobas senior, Yagami, was the creator behind her favourite characters from her favourite game: Fairy Story. Season One is about how Aoba is introduced not only into the gaming industry, but also adult life. It's something we can relate with. We've all been there. Left High School or college and not knowing how to be, well, grown up to a degree. It's a light hearted series but I love all of the characters, the stories and just the simple day to day issues within the series. If you want something not too far fetched but funny. This is a must watch!

Pretty good anime about cute girls working in the video game industry
Irishchatter21 September 2019
Normally with a group of cute girls as the main characters for me, I tend to avoid because of the way they are portrayed. However this anime made me realise there's more then just cute girls. Now it's not my personal favourite, but I liked how they portrayed the "behind the scenes" of working in a video game company really well.

I'm sure high/secondary school students would benefit watching this if they are thinking about going into the software development field.

Anyways definitely recommend watching this anime like it is pretty colourful, kawaii and pretty funny. 7/10

10 episodes

Warning: Spoilers
The fresh graduated Aoba starts her career with a first employment in game software house.

The characters are not bad, but also never break the screen. They also look very alike, which makes the overall show super flat, I have to admit, this time the total absence of a male character worsens this situation.

They try to introduce Umiko as "the tough one", unfortunately you will see episodes by episodes she will slowly disclose her hidden soft side.

At start it can be entertaining, especially if you are staring your first job, but the flatness will make it borking sooner or later.

Will not hurt anyway if you watch it.
