Awful!
cawhtford3 October 2016
No spoilers because this was beyond spoiling. Plot, dialog and direction could have been written as a first draft by a USC film school student. The NCIS franchise regularly stretches credulity by injecting a pretense about why the Navy would get involved in a case. (Oh, the woman who just ran down and kidnapped a guy is USMC Reserve? Why would LAPD get involved with that???) But this whole story is as contrived as that trope. Meanwhile, Kensy is in a coma, Hetty is being accused of treason and little Nell has suddenly become a ninja! You can't make this stuff up! (Oh, wait, they actually did!) If this is where this season's going, this show is definitely coming off my DVR list.

Inacurracies

Warning: Spoilers
Inacurracies everywhere, from the opening scene, portraying a Muslim prayer. Well, Muslims lower their gaze while praying, and don't look in front as the character does (and there usually shelves in the mosques for the Quran, so no need to put it beside you). The Afghan brothers were too white to be Afghans. Maybe because they're rich Afghans. During an interrogation, a supposedly well-informed agent says: "ISIS bride". Really? In Afghanistan? Don't I.S. stand for Irak and Syria? Or referring to Al-Qaeda is kind of outdated? I don't discuss here the political issues of who are the real villains. It seems that the developers of the show target an audience ignorant of the Middle East, so they overlook details concerning it with no regrets at all (nor expecting an overwhelming flood of bad reviews).
