Growing up is hard for teenagers, especially in the case of Josephine who finds herself attracted to other women. This was not alarming for her parents until Jo decides to elope with Tetchie. Jo is delighted to find happiness despite being queer; however, her infatuation towards Tetchie betrays her good sense. Josephine fails to see that beyond Tetchie's beauty is a confused woman who is not over her broken engagement to boyfriend Gil.
