AMERICAN FORCE - BRAVE PLATOON is a mindless war action flick from IFD, nowhere near as entertaining as their many ninja movies. This one was apparently scripted by Godfrey Ho himself and directed by the great Philip Ko, best known for appearing as a villain in Hong Kong action cinema of the 1980s. The plot follows a group of rebels around as they battle government forces, but with no discernable characterisation and endlessly repetitive (and poor) battle sequences, this is bottom-of-the-barrel stuff, entirely without merit.
